Both coins are solid investments, but which will you choose BTC @ 20k$ (just like what happened in the last quarter of 2017) or ETh @ 2,500$?

ethereum and bitcoin are the largest and most valuable of the cryptographic currency exchanges. they form the bases of the other subcoins. Maybe not in the near future, but this year the bitcoin could be $ 20,000 and the ethereum $ 2500.

As you said, both are solid investments and they will reach the numbers you state. I think that Bitcoin reach $20000 is more likely to see this year.

It is better to have both for diversity, since both have potential to grow and if ever one doesn't rise much(ETH), you still got a chance to profit in one of it(BTC). Nevertheless, don't expect your speculation to become a reality soon. I expect to see those price ranges next year when large sum of institutional money begins to flow into crypto space. By that time, I also expect some major alts to rise, and you might also want to invest into them.

ETH surely 2500$ by the year end. eth has strong confidence,  last bull market also i kept 10 eth , i was successful

Both coins are best to investment and these are evergreen coins. But it can not reach bitcoin @20K USD and ETH @2.5 USD in this year. It will long time to break that levels.

Ethereum is more like than bitcoin , most of my portfolio lies in Ethereum , I hope this coin will make the future !

it is true both are good coins and both have a very high potential in the future so than that if I become you I will choose both by dividing my capital into 2 parts so that I can get a profit from both and if one fail we can still rely the other

For me, I'll choose ETH because of few reasons. At first, the price of ETH is much lower than BTC at the moment so it's more suitable for me than BTC cause I don't have much money to buy a large amount of BTC. 2nd one, ETH transaction fee is much lower than BTC so I'll have to pay less money than using BTC when I want to make a transaction with ETH and the last one is, ETH transaction is much faster than BTC transaction :)

I think if Eth reaches $2500 before bitcoin reaches $20k this time, it will be very good sign for the future growth of eth, as this will make eth really strong and increase not only its market volume but also overall dominancy, by the way im holding both and i assume both will make new highs soon.

I have no doubt that the new maximum for bitcoin will be 25k, maybe more. I expect that Ether can reach 2k but 2.5k level I do not wait. There is a reason, the appearance of NEO and a few projects that will accurately take some of the money from the ETH. So from my point of view, the answer to your question is bitcoin, and that's for sure.

First of all it is dishonest to compare 2x for Bitcoin and 3.5x for Ethereum. I think that Ethereum will rise and not worse than Bitcoin. But I think that BTC 30 000$ and ETH 2 500$ - it is more honest compare.

Why not both? Diversifying your portfolio is a thing you know.

Well anyways if I may say, Its ETH  because of the value now, you can buy more. And hold it till it goes there *$2500*

The creator of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin wrote yesterday in his twitter account: Sharding is coming. Eth to the moon? 

In connection with the latest news, I get the impression that the price of bitcoin and Ether is intentionally restrained by big players. in this way they are trying to push less-prepared investors out of the market. So they will buy currency at cheap prices, and they will sell at high prices when the market is overheated.

I think that we will not see such price in the near future, I do not know what can provoke such growth.

Same I also think it'll easily reach the $20k like it did before.

I think both have chance to hit that price range again. FOr me I will pick Bitcoin to hit $20k before Ethereum hit $2500 just because the ATHof BTC was $20k and will be easy for it to hit that price unlike Ethereum that has never hit that price range before also ethereum has so many competitors now

So these are really very good coins, I would call them kings of the market. I do not know what the price may be for a bitcoin, and ETH certainly has many chances to grow to $ 2,500. Of course there are many competitors in ETX, but I think it will grow all the same.

Hmmm, I think BTC will get to $20k before ETH will get to $2500. My reason is because BTC has already attain that in December 2017 although it was not long before its fall.

I will choose to invest most of the money in bitcoin, and in the next two years, bitcoin can easily break through 20K, and some predict that even 50K can be achieved. ETH will also have more projects to use it as the basis, but the growth rate may be slightly slower than bitcoin.

Ethereum and Bitcoin both are  most valuable and most demand-able. I think may be possible Bitcoin $20,000 and the Ehereum $2500 in the year 2018. actually Both coins are best for investment and both have a very high potential in the future. nowadays both are most popular all over the world. in the future Ethereum and Bitcoin will be more valuable and more popular all over the world.

I would pick ether i am already staking my ether not planning to sell anymore . Ethereum is having lots of good news coming Even casper POS implementation in place once this happens ethereum will go to moon . More over why i am beliving ethereum . Still its having real usecase everyday lots of transaction is happening in ethereum network everyday new smartcontracts being created.

These are the comparisons of two good coins on cryptocurrency business, although that two coins are the leading coin on cryptocurrency business, but without a doubt bitcoin still the king of all coins. Maybe the main aspect why bitcoin and ethereum still the king and queen of cryptocurrency business, are all about the management system. And the majority of investors who wants to invest on bitcoin and ethereum.

The rising price of crypto has a major influence on investment.The speculators are increasingly actively predicting the fate of each digital coin for the foreseeable future. Just think this April ETH price is very cool but if you have to beat BTC seems still not possible.

At the moment I have more confidence in bitcoin, and I think that bitcoin will reach a mark of $ 20,000 much earlier, the eth I think at this moment will cost about $ 1300. Recently, I have transferred all my assets to bitcoin.

I think that the trend is more in favour of ether catching in marketcap with ethereum and thus is more profitable now to buy ethereum than BTC. I think that also other players like NEO are even better than these two

Eth 2500$ is better now,cuz 2018 is a year of platforms.,dapps,and Real application of blockchain technology in business processes, and BTC 20k$ just make everybody to buy more and we don`t see huge development of crypto industry,just more speculations

I think Ethereum is more likely to cost $ 2500 than bitcoin for$20,000. Let's see what happens at the end of 2018.

Great chances for bitcoin could go $20k this year. Once bitcoin could grow this year I think next to that is ethereum. Since both has the biggest potential btc and ethereum are on my portfolio.

I would invest in both coins.  I think in the future eth and btc will grow in price several times.  I think the price this year on btc will be $ 15000 and on eth about $ 1500.

Both of the are good for long term investment. If BTC rise ofcourse ETH will rise too. So I think we can't debate who is the best Coin for long term investment. 1 BTC for $20K = 8 ETH for $2.5K. So, it makes no big difference.

I already invested in both coins. Can't go wrong with BTC and ETH  :)

It would be better to invest in BTC and ETH. But all the same, these coins will go to one trend. Therefore, based on last year, I think bitcoin will reach before this mark.

last time bitcoin went up, ethereum could barely get above $1000 and with all the struggles that it has been facing and also the fact that the demand for it is decreasing as the ICOs are no longer the hot topic, it can not go back up there like that so i don't have high hopes for it anymore.

BTC and ETH are indeed solid coin, these two coins are great for investing in the future. as we looking before in December 2017 Bitcoin once reached a price of more than $ 20,000 and I think by the end of this year Bitcoin will reach that price again and the price Ethereum will be far behind from Bitcoin.

20k for 1 BTC is more realistic than 2.5k for 1 ETH so I prefer BTC one  :) At the same time I think that BTC will be 25-30 k $ this year and ETH will be 2k$+ for long term

bitcoin is an obvious choice. Eth has been having a lot of issue as of late and quite frankly I'm scared of investing in it at this point. Hopefully when things improve we can revisit this topic and my opinion might change but for now B T C.

For bitcoin is so good but its so expensive. And i choose ethereum because i truly believe that this altcoin have the potential to go head to head against bitcoin in the future.

At the moment, both coins are synchronously growing and falling synchronously. Therefore, it is difficult to make a choice which coin will reach the specified threshold before. But the fact that they both will reach this mark - I'm sure of that.

I like bitcoin but it seems to be overvalued comparing with etherium so I have choosen etherium for my investment. Some last days etherium showed positive dynamics but bitcoin does not albeit bitcoin is also a good choice for an investment but my choice is etherium

I also believe in Ethereum since I think ETH is a lot better than Bitcoin tech wise. I think ETH will reach 3000USD later this year and Bitcoin will be around 50k USD.

Both are good coins and it's on top 2 on marketcap. So i would not choose one of them since i'm holding them both.

I would choose ethereum instead of bitcoin because it will probably give more profit and it has more potential in the crypto space than bitcoin has, ethereum can grow more because of tokens.

I think most likely the price for eth will grow to $ 2500, than on btc.  Now the price for eth is growing 2-3 times faster than on btc.

Both coins has big potencial to achieve these prices but still ethereum price depends about bitcoin, so probably first objective will achieve bitcoin.

That would be ETH if thats going to happen. I mean look at the maths right now! We can get huge amount of ETH if I were supposed to invest around 2000 USD! For the current price I will get more ETH coins than the BTC coins. Thus when in the future the prices reaches to ATH like those you mentioned then obviously it will turn the ETH investment into something huge, like Richie rich kind of huge.

Incorrect causal relationship. Increasing of ethereum price to $2500 will not result the increasing of Bitcoin price, but increasing of Bitcoin price always affect an ethereum price, and it will rise as a result.
I believe that both coins can hit these goals. Bitcoin already was 20k, it can reach it again, so I think more interesting comparison would be -
Bitcoin 40k vs Ethereum 2.5k, and not "can it happen" but "which coin will reach first" ;)

You are say about good price and I think that is not a fantastic and we will see such rate in nearly future.

I think it is really wrong to compare prices. Something that is expensive doesn't mean gain will be bigger than those with the lower prices. Consider a coin that is just worth 1$ that becomes two dollars after an increase and compare this with a coin that is worth 100$ and sold after a 50 dollar increase. Given that we have a 1000$ worth of both tokens which these two could have given us the most profit? Certainly the answer is the smaller valued coins because it is increased by a 100% while the other high valued coin only gives us a 50% increase. Which ever coin will give us the highest possibilty of increasing will be the one worth investing.

Why not just invest both of it? Having a 1 bitcoin = $20,000 + 1 ETH @$2,500 isn't a bad investment. I really felt bad when I just ignored ETH last 2016-2017 and the price of it isn't even reaching $100. I saw it at $30 but I don't have any plans of buying it. Now that I've seen it's potential I'd diversified few of it but still I'll focus with bitcoin. The logic on these two coins, if bitcoin rise - ETH will follow.

I think ether this year will cost much more. My bar is about 5,000, but many forecasters are already talking about 15,000 by the end of the year.

BTC - 20K and ETH - 2.5K is possible in 2018 years, both of them also are solid investment, I've invest both of them, anyway ... don't just focus the price, I recommend hold for long term and it'll give your nice profit return

I think its over price prediction but it can be true just need a proper time and good market . both coin are the best coin for invest both coin have high potentiality that's why i am holding both coin.

Bitcoin as usual. No matter what happens I'll a die hard fan of bitcoin and today it just jumped to $9,400 which is good.
This is a big prediction but this is more realistic than the $15,000 that you are saying.

I do not know what the price will be for the bitcoin by the end of the year, but ETH has a very high chance to grow to $ 2,500 or even higher. It seems to me that ETH is a very progressive coin and people who have this coin will now be very rich in a few months.

Bitcoin is king and Ethereum is the queen of the world cryptocurrency. They are both valuable and worth the investment. Bitcoin controls the market, all altcoin are affected by Bitcoin. I believe in the future Bitcoin will maintain its No. 1 position, and by the end of this year Bitcoin will easily reach $ 20000. EThereum is great, it is very popular and is used by many ICO projects as a platform, everyday it has a huge trading volume, indicating that Ethereum has great potential. of course bitcoin is more promising to grow compared to ethereum or other altcoin. the most logical fact is, bitcoin is very binding to the market. until the rise and fall of bitcoin is very influential on other crypto. because this is the bitcoin always the king of all crypto.

I would probably have invested in btc.  This is the top 1 coin and it is the most reliable for investment.
