I know ETH difficulty is very high and that the profitability has fallen a lot. I have been mining Eth since almost the beginning so I get it. But it is still profitable and it's the Altcoin with most future. 1070s do a pretty good job with ETH too. Keen to get some opinions. And be nice, this is my first post ;D !! Thanks! Well because everyone has their motive in this space. Hell in the whole world. This is capitalism at its finest. It breeds a race of humans that can’t be trusted as far as you can throw them. FPGA has finally been let out of the bag. They have been mining with these since 2014 maybe earlier. Now that general public is onto it they are trying to fud gpu and sell their shiny new 4000$ a card FPGA. But hey they mine according to some hundreds a day per card. I’m over the race. Yes, you can make a profit mining ETH with Nvidia cards, it just not usually optimal. Equihash coins are usually more profitable than ETH on nVidia cards. Finally something we agree on. And if you take into account the cost of a card... a 1070 ti cost 2x what a 570/580 costs and gets the same hash rate on ETH. Yes, you can make a profit mining ETH with Nvidia cards, it just not usually optimal. Equihash coins are usually more profitable than ETH on nVidia cards. I think for 1070, it is of similar profitablilty mining ZEC and ETH. |
