Title: Looking for resources to learn about GPU mining Post by: Steamtyme on May 01, 2018, 04:16:55 PM I'm wondering if anyone has a good resource to learn more about GPU mining commands and settings. I just got into GPU mining this year and have so much to learn I don't know everything I don't know :P
I'm not looking for the generic plug and play walkthrough. I have already done that and have a rig up and operating. I have watched videos about how to OC and undervolt settings on the cards themselves, and have performed BIOS mods. I would still be open to more info about these as well. What I would like to do is hone my skills and knowledge in regards to running different miners, playing around with commands and understanding what I'm actually doing. I will have a bit of time this weekend I'll try and check out the in-depth video. I've watched a few others hopefully I'll find what I'm looking for. You must be looking for advanced features. Consider reading articles about scripting. You could write scripts to monitor your entire rig and automatically calibrate overclock settings depending on temperature or other factors.
Scripts are especially useful if you have AMD VEGA GPUs which are known for instability.
