Hey guys. Glad you got a bitcointalk page. Good to get some info on this, I've been using the discord chat for a few weeks and am excited by what I see. Keep up the good work everyone!

Projects like this are a must if we are to achieve the universal cashless economy. This will disrupt the mortgage lending industry and give people their life back as they wont have to work 50 hours or more a week just to pay the mortgage, and once we add renewable energy partners to the party the savings will be that much more significant.
 

My greatest excitement is the fact that we will be able to provide homes to people of all income levels, without sacrificing quality in the process. Ready to go to PR and find ourselves a nice plot of land  ;D

I have been impressed with Komodo Platform ever since the announcement that they made last year saying that what is happening right now is what they were working on. I am very intrigued with what this project aspires to accomplish! It's inspiring and an amazing concept that needs to been seen by as many as possible. Its insanity to think how much property and homes cost in 2018 across the globe and something needs to change for sure. This seems like the project that could do some damage in the affordable housing market and look forward to watching this grow into fruition!

Equaliser touched down in Puerto Rico on the mission to obtain as much data from the storm damaged island, meet up with local action groups in the area and obtain key information for the project including Land Development planning, Legal representation, and to get a grasp of how best to help those in desperate need.

Having been welcomed to PR with by Gustavo and the rest of the hacker house team gave us a good on the ground aspect to fully understand the needs and the community in the area.

Time for some reconnaissance today and some meetings. After spending the majority of time here working behind our screens, there is still always something that needs to be done, no time for sightseeing, maybe next time.

As we explore more of Puerto Rico, it becomes more and more clear the desperate need for adequate protection, against the Mother Nature’s wrath, although the Island is a very beautiful place, the destruction and devastation is still clear to see to this day. Many communities and lives have been affected. Talking with the locals we have heard the sad realities about how the hurricane has upturned their lives.

Regardless of our intermittent connectivity in P.R, you've always been there, working on other things that we haven't been able to attend to while mobile. You've always been with us

We have seen lot's of destruction and efforts to rebuild but what we see is people reverting to wood and other materials including the use of tarpaulin as roofing, which we know will not be able to withstand hurricane force winds..  I think a lot of the issue for rebuilding is the fact that many people here cannot afford the materials to fix there homes.

We will also technically be helping the local economy grow by using local merchants for supply's which in turn will help the local building trade and equipment suppliers.

This EQUALIZER project offering a guaranty that everyone will like it.

What is Upcoming development of this project ? I expect

Our whitepaper is in final editing as I type this, being reviewed by a proofreader and a couple of other professionals to make sure we made no mistakes. All will be revealed shortly :D

But our first target is to start building monolithic dome housing in Puerto Rico shortly after the completion of the dICO, and to expand from there to planned self sustaining communities.

Each project should, ideally, fund the next one until we are able to provide low or no cost housing to those who need it most, and fantasy homes to those who can afford them :D

it's interesting, of course. but then it turns out that the benefits of investors will not be particularly. and where will be located at home? are there any conditions for the purchase?

Our efforts will begin on the Island of Puerto Rico and will expand from there. We believe everyone has the right to affordable housing and we are looking at several markets once we have established ourselves here in PR. If you read our whitepaper you will see that we have plans to expand to the US Mainland, United Kingdom and Australia Currently.

From my point of view, there are several advantages to early investors. One, as we grow and get various entities to adopt our system for title registry, the value of the coin will expand far beyond mere exchange price. Two, it's for buying houses. The initial value we set is just to get started. As people purchase housing using EQL, it's value will come to be associated with and possibly backed by real property. Without going upwards, land is a finite commodity.

We also will be developing communities that are self sufficient and hopefully prosperous enough to sell their excess food, power, and possibly crafts and specialty items. As this develops, the demand for EQL will grow, and subsequently, it's value. We envision a number of real-world use cases. That whitepaper is just the beginning.

Wait, I don't understand how you can may house purchasing more affordable? Is this going to be a global thing or not?
If even half of your goals can be reached, this project right here is gonna be the greatest of all time. Making houses affordable is HUGE.

We will make purchasing more affordable by using unconventional means of construction. Just an example: the average 2br home within 45 mins to the beach on the west side of Puerto Rico runs around 150-250k depending on location and amenitities.  We are buying land for developing and will have a significantly lower land acquisition cost, then you add in our construction costs which are also very low. This allows us to sell a 250k usd home for around half of that (give or take 4%). Our goal here is to provide affordable housing we are trying to make it so that people can afford to live and enjoy the world around them instead of working 30 years just to have to work another 30 to pay off debt. If cryptocurrency is to overtake fiat on a global scale then there needs to be a specified use case that matches each one fiat holds currently be it paying bills, buying groceries or even buying a home. This project has been in my heart for years and was put on paper last year, now with this amazing team we have it is now our dream to help revolutionize the world by Bringing the Blockchain Home.

If you look at the whitepaper we mention a few of the techniques we will be utilizing to build our homes. The method we are starting (Monolithic Domes) are battle tested against the most deadly storms throughout history, and instead of building homes to last 30-50 years we are looking at structures that will last for centuries with minimal upkeep expenses as well.

It really is interesting searching for land to build on. There are many great places that will suit. I can not wait to build and start having a positive effect on many levels.

I am a millennial and I have been following property prices in developed countries for half a decade which are now stupidly expensive and unobtainable.

it's a good mission. indeed, now in the world the problem of own housing is one of the most urgent and unsolved. I would like to see such a project in action. I think it should happen.

Who pays to build the low cost houses, and do the builders need to accept your token? I want to understand the economics of your idea, it is a noble goal, but where is the wealth coming from to build the houses, from the ico?

A build is commissioned with the purchase in our coin, there is no competition between those with wealth and those that struggle to save for a deposit on a mortgage. Equaliser is non-discriminative which is how we planned Equaliser to be, just that, an Equaliser to be able to buy a home to live.

Buying Equaliser gives no one claims or rights to already established property however, rather the opportunity to purchase property we build by paying with our coin which also strengthens Equaliser's value.
Equaliser won't contribute to already inflated established property market prices and a fraction of profits are used for helping those in natural disasters and also subsidies for some that need assistance owning a home.
