You'll need a lot of money (somewhere in the thousands of dollars) to afford a competitive mining rig, and it'll still take you several months and a lot in electricity costs before you break even.

Unless you have a ton of money sitting around right now, just forget mining, at least as far as bitcoin is concerned. You are much better off purchasing bitcoin's online from BlockChain, Coinbase, LocalBitCoins or any other site that services the country you live.
