That's a pretty solid sign that it is actually coming, one way or another. Goldman Sachs did the exact same thing, and they came through with using Circle to acquire Poloniex. Refuting these claims is what they all do, and they are supposed to do that since these tiny bit of information leaks can be seen as trading with insider information, and that within their own heavily regulated environment is a serious offence.

It's just not sure if they will follow what Goldman Sachs did and use an external party to acquire an exchange, or if they actually are going to set up their own exchange, which at that point will be the first of its kind. We'll see what they come up with this year, or next year, especially if they are going to focus on their own exchange, which requires regulations to work with them as well.

Really, the declaration means from nothing to everything.

That is what they all do .
I don't understand why they let such rumor fly if there is no such thing happening with them . I remember firmly that there was firm buzz going on about the opening of trading desk by them . I know what they are going to do , " trade behind the curtains " and not let anyone know about it . Because obviously who wants to disappoint and disobey the authorities on their face.

This is what you call "If you can't beat them, join them" as definitely big financial institutions are setting their targets on cryptocurrencies. Even though Jes Staley have denied the rumor for now I think it will be inevitable for them in joining and creating their own trading desk. What they want to see is of course an enough client demand for risky type of investments which of course are cryptocurrencies. Especially if they see that this market is turning bullish I think there is no best time to invest and enter into trading but now.

our news channels should stop publishing rumors, this does not do us any good, even if they have some source that has leaked the news while it is not the main source and say or comment that "yes we will do thing X" then our channels news should not publish things that have not been confirmed, this makes the news become less trustworthy. It's time to be more serious and not publish rumors.

I don't understand why they let such rumor fly if there is no such thing happening with them.

they do not let the rumor fly, there is always Somebody gossipy and the news channels are not professional and publish rumors
