Title: Google joined Lightning network
Post by: Guenther-Hodapp on May 02, 2018, 02:20:24 PM
A new node named "ln.google.com" has joined the Bitcoin Lightning network.
If this is truly by google, then is that a massive event for Bitcoin, Google has a large networking capacity around the world and could support a great number of channels.

Main net graph here:

From what I see ln.google.com is 104.196.185.171 and http://www.all-nettools.com/toolbox/smart-whois.php tells it's an IP of Google cloud.
So imho it can be anybody.

I wish it would have been a better news from my side...
