If you yourself blocked/locked your account, you can contact theymos, and he'll unlock/recover it if you have a way to prove ownership ( usually by signing an adress staked on your profile)

But in this case it seems you got banned. You can try and ask the moderators to unban you, simply make a seperate topic in this forum section, but i doubt it'll happen.


Hmm. The adress is not a bitcoin one, which might be a problem.

Can you sign a message with the adress? Does the altcoin wallet support that? If not, you might be out of luck. If you are able to sign a message, theymos still might not recover your account

By the way, it's possible to use OpenSSL to recover the public key from signature and check that it matches provided address. This may be done in universal manner so you wouldn't be dependent on the kind of altcoin used to sign the message.

Unfortunately we're not able to verify your ownership yet with your provided NVC address with a screenshot because no online verification is available atm. Once is viable it will be only at Admins discretion returned it back to you for being considered "alternative".
 
If the spammer stopped using your account then keep an eye on it, monitor it once on a while. Perhaps leaving a red trust will discourage him from continue spamming and even selling it. But I'm afraid you'll need to prove ownership 1st.

I blocked my account by the link in the mail.

My account was hacked. Almost a year I unlocked it. And after the victory, my account was thrown into the ban for what I did not write. These articles were not written by me !!!

Well that sucks. You recovered you account on February 26th and now you are autobanned? I hope a moderator can take a look at your case. One should not be held accountable for posts made while you were not in control of your account.

I agree with bones261, mods should definitely take a look at this. Posts from 29th April - 1st May 2018 are made by someone else and therefore OP cannot be held accountable.

ETH addy, twitter and telegram handle seem to be used by multiple accounts; supposedly the hacker.

I thought maybe it can help getting the attention of the administration.

Last advice: you created this thread for recovery appeal and complete using it for unban appeal. Maybe better to start a new thread in Meta to call for attention, than to use this old one. Remember, as you are a banned user, you are not allowed to use the forum, just creating an alt to discuss the case in a Meta thread. Your alt can also be banned.

Am sure that mods can understand the situation based on admitted proofs.

Few thing I am not clear.
When you account was unlocked and returned, It was already banned or you did not removed the post created by hacker after you get unbanned?

I will suggest you to create a new thread about your problem because
1. This thread has served the intended purpose.
2. Somebody now need to read so many post to understand , that you can easily summarize in one post.
3. Put some fully explainable title like.
    Account recovered in banned state,Mods please help.
or
    Account banned now due to the activities by hacker,please unban

You might not even need to create a new thread. In your Ban message there should have been an email for a Ban appeal. That would be where I start after this I would also send one more. Considering the forum has a contract company handling recoveries they were likely the ones who recovered your account.

It might be worth following this Recovering hacked/lost accounts (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0), if you email them just explain your case and mention that you've already emailed Ban appeals. This might make it easier for an Admin to review your Ban appeal, there is also an Admin at the head of this team.

This whole process may take some time as they have been reviewing a lot of bans recently. When you recover your account be sure to clean up all the hackers messages this time.

1. He was apparently hacked
2. The same day he got his account back, he was reported for plagiarism
3. The reported post was supposedly made by the hacker

The timing could be more than coincidental.  Is this a suspicion you have or are there other factors I'm missing?  

If true it would be interesting to know who made the report, not that I expect admin to share that information.

His account was compromised/password changed, according to AlexRus227 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=58046) and Seclog, on April 29th, 2018 (http://archive.fo/hyucr#selection-6659.0-6663.19).

He locked his account and made a report on May 02nd, 2018 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3487824.msg36130332#msg36130332). There were about 10 messages posted by the hacker in that period (29-01), all bounty application posts or one-liners in the Altcoin section.

After going through manual recovery procedure, he recovered his account (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089990.msg49938918#msg49938918) on 26 or 27th of Feb, 2019. Someone reported a post that was made around the time he was allegedly hacked (the very same day), he didn't have time to delete those, I guess he didn't even know they were plagiarized. I'm not sure who reported him, could be the hacker himself, knowing that those posts were copy-pasted.

What's interesting, I remember seeing all these posts the day he was banned, the plagiarized post was still there, there were bounty applications ... but now for some strange reason, they are all deleted. You can see some of his posts here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3487824.msg49992708#msg49992708) ( unfortunately I did not archive them.) Kavelj22 pointed out the plagiarized post here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5120688.msg50162952#msg50162952) but he also forgot to archive it.

To my knowledge, banned people cannot access/delete/edit their own posts, so how does then a plagiarized post disappear from AlexRus227 profile? He was banned on 27th and Kavelj22's post is from March 14th, meaning he was still able to see the post in question? ::)
