Title: [XPM] Primecoin - jhPrimeminer and Private Pools Post by: chainheart on November 27, 2013, 01:48:06 PM Hello,
First time on the forum so I thought I'd post my question straight away. I've recently started mining primecoin using a fair amount of compute power @ ~40 cores. To harness these cores I set up a private pool using the instructions at http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=623.0 - I have set up my primecoin.conf as follows: Code: rpcuser=rpcuser Each pool member is running rdebourbon's jhPrimeminer fork RdBBeta4.0F_x64 as downloadable here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sq24hzo993afy9c/l7icP0KiuM which is running on a mix of Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 7 64-bit. For each miner in the pool, jhPrimeminer is launched with the following arguments: Code: jhPrimeminer.exe -o <primecoin-qt IP>:8332 -u rpcuser -p <password> -m 61 -target 9 -bttarget 9 -xpm <my wallet address> Here's what the typical output looks like for one of the compute nodes: Code: ══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ I have six nodes with similar stats all participating in the pool and I can see network connections to the primecoin-qt server as they are mining - after 48hrs, I still have 0.00 XPM. I've read up quite a bit and judging by the output (almost 80,000 PPS per node! Can this be correct?), I would've expected to have found a block by now. Am I doing something wrong? Am I finding blocks and just not getting them into my wallet, or are they taking a long time to confirm? Are my command line arguments appropriate? I will be happy to tip the person who can help me answer these questions in XPM - assuming the answer helps me get some coin in the first place! Thanks, -ch Title: Re: [XPM] Primecoin - jhPrimeminer and Private Pools Post by: chainheart on November 27, 2013, 08:33:27 PM FYI for anyone interested: looks like I just grossly underestimated the time vs. amount of compute power needed to mine XPM - I did get my first block about 5hrs after posting. I guess the difficulty is just going up with people's interest in this coin. Time for more cores!

I had the same problem. Title: Re: [XPM] Primecoin - jhPrimeminer and Private Pools Post by: Miner76 on December 07, 2013, 11:50:31 PM Hello,
did you use the same wallet address for all your miners started on different machines? Each pool member is running rdebourbon's jhPrimeminer fork RdBBeta4.0F_x64 as downloadable here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sq24hzo993afy9c/l7icP0KiuM which is running on a mix of Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 7 64-bit. For each miner in the pool, jhPrimeminer is launched with the following arguments: Code: jhPrimeminer.exe -o <primecoin-qt IP>:8332 -u rpcuser -p <password> -m 61 -target 9 -bttarget 9 -xpm <my wallet address> How can I check the network connections from miners to the server, so I can know that they are connected and working as one? Thanks! Title: Re: [XPM] Primecoin - jhPrimeminer and Private Pools Post by: AnhBen on January 06, 2014, 02:49:11 AM Anyone know how to set up private pool with linux on ubuntu? Or maybe a good guide somewhere?
