Title: a good portfolio tracker ??
Post by: gvari on May 02, 2018, 09:53:45 PM
Hi

Can someone recommend a good online portfolio tracker ?

I´m using Binance and I´d love to be able to track my gains in a simple way.

I do a lot of buying and selling and it´s hard to keep a full track of gains/losses for whatever currency I´m buying/selling.

Thanks

currently there are a few, but the market is likely to change in a drastic way soon.

https://vividtoken.com/ - is the next generation..

for now, blockfolio seems to be the market leader.

I recommend Delta (smartphone or desktop app) for daily portfolio tracking. It tracks most exchanges and visually looks good. It summarizes current portfolio value in both $ and BTC, shows your individual positions and changes over the last 24 hours, and has a watching tab for coins of interest. They have a much better privacy policy than Blockfolio, which is the next best alternative.

I use Blockfolio and its really good. Probably the best, imo. You can set notification when your coins goes down or up, so you probably never miss a trade and have a right time to sell.

Blockfolio and Delta are good apps for tracking your portfolio. I personally use Blockfolio because it's easy to use, Loading fast and very simple. You can choose any app with your choice. :)

I use Blockfolio, its really good portfolio tracker.
1. View all your cryptocurrency investments at once and find detailed information on each coin
2. Use alerts to get notified immediately when the price crosses a certain threshold.
3. Candlestick charts, orderbook, and market details for every coin.
4. Track over 2000 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dash, Dogecoin and more.
5. Stay up to date with the latest Bitcoin and Altcoin news from CoinDesk, Bitcoin Magazine and more using our News reader.
6. View your portfolio in almost any major Fiat Currency including USD, CNY, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, SEK, BRL, and many more, etc.

I use Blockfolio & Delta. At the moment I like Delta more but it is impossible to have multiple portfolios in free version so I have blockfolio installed as well.

I have tried too many apps out there and Delta is the best for now.
Currently, they are working on connecting wallet from its address feature and after that It will solve all of my tracking problem for sure.

I recommend delta app...with delta you get to percentage increase in your portfolio over time...you can even link your exchange account to it directly so it saves the time of having to manually input each trade you have done...
Its available on the google play app store and ios too

You don't sync your wallet, you sync via your exchange account's API. A few of the portfolio services I listed has this feature. Just make sure you only give viewing permissions, just to be extra sure.

Just like was mentioned before a few times, Blockfolio and Delta. I used Blockfolio before but the more coins I added the worse app worked. I don't know if someone has such a problem. Delta synch prices near instantly so I'm always up to date while Blockfolio is somewhere lagging behind.

Personally I prefer cryptocompare.com - there are a lot of different settings that will allow you not only monitoring the coins, but also  manage your investment portfolio. In my opinion, this is the best service!

1. Altpocket

Altpocket is a social network that meets cryptocurrency trading. This is a web platform that lets you track your portfolio and can share information to compare yourself with other users or friends. Layouts and designs are better than competitors and teams are constantly updating apps - you can see the developments in their social media. It also has an integration API import, which is not all on this list. With it you do not need to add transactions manually, because your transactions from a supported exchange can be imported automatically.

Advantages of Altpocket

Ability to share and compare portfolios with other users

Private mode so your investment is not tracked or identified

Ease of use, good design and good UI / UX

Bittrex, Poloniex, and Binance APIs to import and track your investments

Lack of Altpocket

Web-only apps, no mobile apps

Some minor bugs, such as total investment balances, are not always the same as your "net worth"

2. Cointrackr

Cointrackr is another web app. Because it's light enough and well designed, it works on mobile too. Cointrackr is supported by coinmarketcap.com, which means you have access to a large number of cryptocurrencies (over 1500). This can show you the trends based on the last hour, 24 hours or weeks. This is not the real time, because coinmarketcap uses the average exchange rates, depending on the coin / token. However, cointrackr is a simple tool you can use if you do not trade a lot and just have to keep an eye on the price.

Advantages of cointrackr

User friendly and easy to use

Does not require login (can store data in the browser cache)

Lack of cointrackr

Only coins are listed in coinmarketcap, which is very much, but not as flexible as some of its competitors

Not enough features to make it useful for people doing daily cryptocurrency trading

Since the data comes from coinmarketcap, it does not show the special price of the exchange (which can be slightly different)

3. Blockfolio

Blockfolio is one of the most popular ways to track cryptocurrency in mobile phones. With iOS and Android apps, Blockfolio has long been the default way to track cryptos, even for experienced traders. Its feature is rich and supports a lot of crypto, making it a popular app to keep up with your investment developments. No web or desktop apps, so for now.

Benefits from Blockfolio

A simple graph that helps track your portfolio history

Can sync by swiping down and updating prices instantly

A long list of cryptocurrency and trading pairs by exchange (though not as much as Delta)

Lack of Blockfolio

No API support

This is not a very good app

Certain cryptoes have damaged data causing large spikes and crumbling graphs

Their privacy policy states that they sell your data to third parties

4. Google Spreadsheet

Why is an online spreadsheet application on the cryptocurrency portfolio tracker list? Well, Google Spreadsheet is one of the most flexible and customizable tools for cryptocurrency analysis. You can do exactly what you want with it, how much you like. If you just track Bitcoin, simply prepare a sheet with GOOGLEFINANCE ticker to instantly update the BTC price in some currencies. Or download one of many Google Spreadsheet plugins that gives you access to a large number of cryptocurrency pricing in real time. The most popular is Cryptofinance.

If you have a little technical knowledge, you can use ImportJSON and CryptoCompare API to use Google Spreadsheets without Chrome plugins. You can even search around and find templates for existing crypto trading sheets, so you do not have to create them yourself.

Google Spreadsheet Profits

Make it as simple or as complex as you want.

Analyze a number of cryptocurrencies, depending on the available APIs, and create your own charts / charts.

Lack of Google Spreadsheet

Requires more settings and tweaking than other options in this list

Large sheets are slow and not practical, especially on mobile. :)

I have tried few in the past but I am impressed with CryptoCompare's portfolio tracker. I don't think that it's perfect but I do see a good potential in this tracker and we might see the fine version of it in near future.  I am not a great fan of excel sheets and I am lazy to do the calculations so I always prefer semi-automated tracker to track crypto investments.

If you don't want to stray our and have accurate prices you can always download the official app of Binance to your phone. They have apps on both Apple and Android Devices which I think you have at least one of them. Although I won't recommend this for people who are careless or if other people have access to your phone as like I said the app version of Binance is directly connected to the trading platform, and if you don't have the proper security for it. I would just use Blockfolio instead.

One of the most annoying things for me is that there are so many different approaches so far but no solution that really works  :-\
If you try to keep track of your different ICOs it gets really complicated really fast.

Blockfolio is all you need for tracking your cryptoportfolio
I would add some exchanges to pairs i trade, but its really subjective
A big plus for me, that its a mobile application, so i can check everything i need on
one screen with one swipe

I used to use Delta on my smartphone, but I couldn't resist watching my portfolio every 5 minutes, so I ultimately decided to uninstall it.  :D
I now use a simple excel spreadsheet that I update manually.

Online I'd recommend Cointracker.io or Cointrendz.com!

For day trading I use google sheets and use Cryptofinance to get all the data in the sheet. A tutorial for that following this next link

And yes. you can add Exchanges too. Check it out.

You want to know the context of your crypto currency. Enter it in an orderly manner. Add your all coins. From the increase or decrease in market prices, you can see all the coins here. https://blockfolio.com/ If necessary, download it from the play store.

I was using Crypto compare to track my portfolio but recently I have stopped using any tracker to track my investments. Even though I generally invest considering long-term, I used to check market situation daily and it was something against the behaviour of experienced and successful investors. However, I still believe crypto compare portfolio tracker is one of the best trackers out there to track investment in cryptocurrencies.

I am using blockfolio and also delta if there are new tokens that has been release. I used delta for the reward of the airdrop that I get. To track it's value becuase blockfolio takes too much time to release new tokens. I used blockfolio for familiar coins or tokens like Ethereum and bitcoin. Blockfolio seems to be good for me because it is a less bug application.

I've been using Blockfolio for a long time but changed to Delta recently. They are both very good and clean looking.
