Title: Datacoin [Unofficial] Team Listed Here!
Post by: maxsolnc on November 28, 2013, 07:22:04 AM
Hi community,

I want to represent you full list of Datacoin [unofficial] team - forum members who work at different aspects of developing, designing and supporting the coin.
Feel free to ask related questions to all of us depending on our responsibility areas

oocook5u - original Datacoin developer. Now he's working at fixing daemon issues and 'send big file' functionality
mstfck - working at pool, gets help directly from oocook5u, developing 'file hosting' project
Palmdetroit - miner improvements
jpmi1 - promotion, web developer, twitter
Kelekin - promotion
cryptrol - working at online wallet with enhanced functions
Zorrosv - designer
maxsolnc - tools, support, team coordination
other members (they don't want to name them just now) - blockchain explorer, other projects, promo

disclaimer: Why [unofficial] ? Because oocook5u really works alone, we are just people who want to help with external tools, but we're not really involved in developing Datacoin network

Yeah, thanks :) We will release new site soon, also improve all external tools (blockexplorer, calc, faucet will be also created very soon) functionality and design, also working at pools. Pools are pain, it's not easy task, but not impossible of course :)

It's very sad that ypool doesn't want to add DTC (but you can ask them one more time - maybe jh00 will change his decision), also still no answer from beeeer.org

Since the original dev posted a FAQ, is there a new unofficial team plan?

Plan stays the same as in OP here. We only don't have direct access to original dev's git repo, but we are developing at own repos and will send pull requests to original dev as soon as we finish some improvements for wallet\daemon.

Still no pool. I know guys that it is not good for 'small miners', but oocook5u is working at this to get pools online as soon as possible - it's not so easy.
We also have promotion plan, some services that are being built, etc. But it will be not very fast (1-2-3 days), we need several days for every step - bring pools online, create beta-versions of our applications.
And yes, soon Datacoin will have cool site with beautiful logos and other ! Demo version will be available until Monday\Tuesday, so stay tuned!

Just to clarify: one part of team is working at website, promotions, design.
Another part is working at miners, wallet, and oocook5u is working at pool mining.
Stay tuned with Datacoin!

Hi, what is your expertise, what role to you want to take?

I'm good at inventing stuff.  I would specifically contribute good ideas for incentive.  I mostly create logical ideas and do some theoretical work.  This will help give datacoin a cohesive vision for the future.  Programming isn't my forte, but I understand computers.  I can help a lot with the "baby coins" and how to generate advertising revenue.

I also have a question on DTC specs.  What is the maximum number of DTC in existance not including potential "baby coins"
