Title: Hya! New here and could use some help!
Post by: kickbuttpotato on November 28, 2013, 09:01:28 AM
Yup. Imma newbie. A newbie who is minin' BBQcoins. Short introductiosn aside, I have 2 questions.

1. I'm currently solo mining BBQcoins using cgminer. I get "New block detected on network" every minute or two mining at 150 kh/s. What does this exactly mean? It's the only thing I get on CMD.

2. How do I get paid since I'm solo mining? Does it go directly into my wallet?

Given your mining speed you should use a pool. Try this pool, use your bbqcoin address for the username and anything will work for the password.

username: "bqc address"
password: "password"

"New block detected on network" means a block was found but it does not mean your rig found it. As bigdaub mentioned you should mine on a pool to see some coins roll into your wallet and get used to the stats etc.
