You do realize that by doing this you could be pushing down the share price even lower than .0001, right?

Of course you are, it only makes sense. You have a lot of faith and now you are coming to terms that any business that touches ActM in anyway will greatly profit.

It's only natural that you want to run the exchange that will pass unimaginable amounts of Bitcoin from one investor to the next. I really understand.

Now I have no issue with your desire to buy shares!

I was more interested in purchasing shares in this exchange itself

But originally I was quite concerned you wanted to actually buy the exchange!

I want 2 buy it, is 4 sale?

This cannot be! I do not feel you are capable of running and maintaining any piece of mission critical software. I feel much safer knowing that you're a provider of capital but please, a provider of technical know how? Crumbs we all know that you will spend a long time learning PHP, Javascript and perhaps some CSS to better serve our needs, but honestly, 48 weeks is a long time to wait! It's almost a year, but not quite!

I suggest you save yourself the embarrassment of running an exchange and leave it to the big boys. You will get your just deserts once ActiveMining is up and running!

I did not propose to code an exchange, drawingthesun, that was just another one of your imaginings :(
What i proposed to do was buy shares of this exchange, the revolutionary disturbing technology that is this forum thread.
While the value of your feels is up for debate, your business acumen is demonstrably disastrous.
The advice stemming from your understanding of finance is guaranteed to impoverish anyone silly enough to accept it.
Just like it impoverished YOU.

Happy Thanksgiving.

This sounds like you want to buy the entire exchange, and I am sure you would want to be in total control, programming included! You're not the type of person to let weaker humans control your destiny.

I was obviously wrong!

Damn, I should pack in my business course then...

Just like it impoverished YOU.

For some reason this amuses me, there must be a word that describes the situation where you are so fucked that the only thing left is to laugh about it. Unfortunately I am almost in that situation, laughing as a defensive mechanism for the shit I am in.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, I am not American but I will raise a glass to your celebratory event.

Not to be too disrespectful, but I live in a far superior country to you. My country has much more respect for human rights and value of life. I will not be needing a soup kitchen.

Also I still have my student allowance, so no going hungry for me!

Ken wont honor such trades before the shares are on a new exchange again. So if a trade occurs its of trust basis. Using an escrow. And when its tradeable again move the shares. If one party doesnt go through negative trust? Scammertag probably would be too much.

I asked and he wont write shares over to another person. Trades only could be executed once they are on an exchange. By moving shares to the other account or so.

So far the bid/ask spread is so great, that no trading could occur.

quite the gap.. makes me wonder if people are full of SHIT.. hmmmmm!

The two prices at the moment are people trying to sell at what they want, and people buying are only trying to get a fantastic deal.
If you ever did any sums you would note ActM is worth quite a bit per share, notably it's all speculation right now but EAsic will hold up their end of the deal! thus only relying on Ken to make it happen.

How can this thread exist when Ken can't verify ownership of any shares?

Escrow the funds and then transfer the shares once the exchange opens! then use scammer tags if that person doesn't hold up their end of the deal.

Without any form of escrow, this can't work reliably. Talk is cheap.

No reliable 3rd party escrow services?

Title: Re: ActiveMining share trading thread.
Post by: SebastianJu on November 30, 2013, 11:23:48 PM
I do escrow. See my signature. If the seller doesnt go through, once the shares are on the exchange, he can get a negative trust. Only problem i see is how to prove that he owns the shares now? Did he sold them on bitfunder at the end or did he move them to AMC-TENDER?

Title: Re: ActiveMining share trading thread.
Post by: VolanicEruptor on December 01, 2013, 12:19:50 AM
The share price ultimately depends on whether Ken is going to mine, or sell machines.  If he focuses entirely on selling machines, then the share price will be 10x less than what we last saw it as.  Here is two bitcoin market conditions, both based on selling hardware:

Market Condition #1:

Bitcoin worth $120
10,000,000 shares are priced .0015
this means that Ken would have to PROFIT $1.8 million dollars to give us .0015/share

Market Condition #2:

Bitcoin worth $1200
10,000,000 shares priced at .0015
this means that Ken would have to PROFIT $18 million dollars to give us .0015/share.  This now makes the share price worth .00015 because you have to earn 10x as much fiat.

The only way to make the insanely high Bitcoin value work for the share price is to turn this into a mining company and bring in some bitcoins with this hardware instead of selling machines.  Obviously Ken won't talk about mining because he wants to take that half of the business for himself

Note that if bitcoin was in really bad shape ($100), it would make more sense to focus on selling hardware, as mining bitcoin wouldn't be as profitable

His arguments are so made up, his fantasy goes wild about hidden mining farms... its hard to imagine that he fights this way without having something in mind. Otherwise he would be some grumpy whinger that likes to grumble. Will i really believe something so useless? In a campaign that goes on days?
Ill give him the benefit of the doubt and will think he sees the potential and would like to get shares for cheap... ;)
