Well difficulty just jumped! I was making $2.36 a day now $1.98... But last time it was from $1.27 to $0.95... BTC price on MT Gox  $1167 and holding at present. 9x Erupters at 3024...

Looking at the latest network speeds we just had a huge jump today in network hash power from about 5 to 7.7 PH's.  Be prepared for a large difficulty adjustment in 10 days. :'(

Where has such an increase come from? 2.5+ PH in less than a day?

Dunno, I know Asicminer has started shipping cubes, but that is one shit-load of cubes to generate 2.5 PH.  Maybe some new private player just came online with a large mining operation.
I think its the beginning of the end for the hobbyists to get into mining, unless you have millions to spend.

Doubtful this was all  from KNC. They would of had to ship out about 5000 jupiters and they all were turned on the same day.

Actually - november Jupiters have bigger hashrate than first batch (around 800GH/s, maybe even more). Plus there's always variance.
