Hi guys,

in the last weeks I organized a group buy for some Cointerra TerraMiner IV for some friends (15+ Miners). We were not sure if Cointerra would be scam or not. So I took a flight from Germany to Austin/TX and visited them at their office.

And yes, they are real!! Everybody knows what he´s talking about, was friendly and answered me all my questions. I met Timo, Jim and the other guys, went out for lunch with them and asked 1000s of questions. The only one I missed was Ravi. He moved out to visit of Global Foundries at the day I was at Cointerra.

But the best thing was: I saw a prototype arriving and it was AWESOME!!! Very high quality!!! :D  If you would compare it to a KNC the KNC looks like a Lada againts a BMW!!! I´m sorry KNC, but this is true. :P

Thx again Cointerra for this breathtaking day and the great service with my orders!!! Hope to see you guys soon. :D

CoinTerra's growth has been explosive since I first met Ravi at the San Jose conference.

Normally id not even reply but since you took the time to knock a company that has actually shipped instead of like BFL or something makes this post stink even more. A stranger buy a ticket, fly across the globe, make pictures and NOW he needs to ask for permission to publish it. So why they allow you to make them in the first place? BTW - if all of them portraits some strangers, resistors and fans laying on desks and some weirdo with an iron and oscilloscope - spare our time and dont publish it.  ;D

Well, golly gee! Austin, eh? It just so happens I'm heading in that direction on the way to Las Vegas next week, once I leave Pensacola, FL, after finishing up my obligations with Thanksgiving at Satoshi Forest. I was hoping to meetup up with Atlas, thereabouts, but this side trip off I-10 is right up my alley.

Somebody give me an address and I will definitely show up there. Full disclosure, it'll all be on my dime, accepting no gifts of any kind, albeit I may partake of some colored, flavored beverage to quench any thirst I may develop while on site, but that is all.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe edd of Bitcoin 100 lives in that neck of the woods, of which I desire to meet in person and buy him dinner.

CoinTerra officially moved into Suite 303 on Nov 4th 2013. You are welcome to stop by our office at anytime. Prior to Nov 4th we were sub-leasing an office at Suite 200.

All your official state documents and registered addresses still point to Jollyville. Might want to get that fixed before Texas comes after you.

The travel agency email shown here says the travel agent is operating from India, not from Austin. There are millions of Ravi's in India, and surely a few hundreds of Ravi Iyengar's.

If you did so deep look in Cointerra, just please post some nice travel photos!
BTW Cointerra is real, just having fun with these "detectives". Beginning of KNC thread is also too fun for the same reason.

No mining manufacturer is real and trustworthy until they produce and ship working miners. We'll have to wait and see if they deliver. I live in San Antonio and may come up and visit to see your outfit. Do we need an appt or can we just show up?

I appreciate everyone in the bitcoin community has either been burned or seen people get burned, but there is no reason to be automatically hostile. As far as I can see these seem like friendly people and have offered anyone in the area the chance to pop by. Someone take them up on it and pop down.

I went to visit their office today at 4:30PM, I couldn't get into the building. It looked like it was closed, I called the office numbers to see if anyone could let me in. They had a sign saying office hours were 9AM to 6PM, but no days were listed.

Just to check - today being Saturday?

Okay so Cointarra are not answering emails , are not posting new stuff on their forum and it's now impossible to get through to them by phone or email . I had a early January delivery, I don't care about late delivery but they should at least answer some email or phone.

This is exactly what BFL did in their first months.

CoinTerra if you are reading this please tell if you are going to make January delivery or not - I have a very busy January , please provide something even of it's a shit story.

What are you on about?   they seem to be posting weekly updates both in this forum and on their web site.  their last update was only a few days ago.  Why do you think they've gone quiet?

I also hope they don't take too long to tweak.. they've shown it working already. at 80% of target.  i think many customers (including me) would say the priority is to ship quicker and not waste time tweaking too much...  on the basis that a 1.6 TH miner this month is worth more than a 2 TH miner next month!

So realistically speaking it sounds like they might be able to start shipping a few December units next week?  Come on cointerra, get manufacturing and shipping please!  As long as you're close to your power and speed targets most customers are unlikely to be upset.

I purchased from Cointerra and I can now confirm:

No delivery in January as promised - I asked them in December and they said they were on track to make their January deliveries.

No response to emails in 10 days. No response to their phone line , just an answering machine.

Maybe I was really stupid but I borrowed a *lot* of money to purchase these machines.

I bought previously from KNC and they shipped a higher specification machine and it was delivered on time.

I thought the Cointerra sales pitch was really good , in fact much better than KNC, all of their people looked top notch - Ravi Iyengar , Naveed Sherwani , Timo Hanke - these people did not come across as another BFL Josh Zerlan , these people are real Pro's , so why is it they are now acting like BFL did when they were late with their products ?

If anybody has had a delivery from Cointerra please get back to me , I am now starting to get really worried. If they don't get this sorted out soon I am going to be in serious trouble.

selling the idea is what they are pros of.. delivering isn't really much of a concern.  They have plenty of CYA excuses to reduce expectations.

Do you know how much nonsense goes on in corporate conference rooms that keep kicking ideas around to justify 6 month contracts and year-to-year capex budgets? It's sickening.   That is the world these folks are from

Not saying that they will not deliver...but borrowing money for such a risky investment..seems...risky?
