Title: My solution to keeping cards cool as summer temperatures rise: Hydroponics tent Post by: rmac on May 03, 2018, 10:48:18 PM Hey all,
In order to accommodate the heat issue this summer in my small apartment, I moved all of my rigs and desktop PC into a medium size hydroponics tent. The tent pulls in fresh air from one window and vents it out another window. If there's enough interest I can post an album of the entire setup when I get a chance. Hardware Info:

What is the outside temperature these days? Title: Re: My solution to keeping cards cool as summer temperatures rise: Hydroponics tent Post by: Geraldo on May 04, 2018, 04:31:17 AM Pretty cool, it can handle temps issue and also save the place. That Tent will not be affected too much by ambient temperature. Are you planned to add another cooling system on that tent? Let's say mini portable AC nor DYI cooling systems using Peltier or something similar?

The inside looks congested with racks. By the way, here are some of the images from OP's album above, for reference. Subscribed to see how this pans out.
Could be a good solution for a small space. Title: Re: My solution to keeping cards cool as summer temperatures rise: Hydroponics tent Post by: jillscarbrough on May 04, 2018, 05:48:40 AM Wow.
still noisy, are you not disturbed while sleeping? it's a plastic tent I was a little worried about going to burn Title: Re: My solution to keeping cards cool as summer temperatures rise: Hydroponics tent Post by: Dagamus(NM) on May 04, 2018, 05:56:15 AM Wow. still noisy, are you not disturbed while sleeping? it's a plastic tent I was a little worried about going to burn Fire blankets would reduce chances of burning. Easy enough to line the inside. As far as noise, probably pretty muffled white noise. Easy enough to line the inside. I would wish like that and nothing will happen. As far as noise, probably pretty muffled white noise. I heard it when I saw the video. for me, if I do it may not be able to sleep ;DTitle: Re: My solution to keeping cards cool as summer temperatures rise: Hydroponics tent Post by: butka on May 04, 2018, 06:30:37 AM I heard it when I saw the video. for me, if I do it may not be able to sleep ;D Pretty cool setup. I guess you have to do something like that if you live in a flat with limited space. I didn't take a look a the video, but when I checked the photo, noise was the first association I had. Hopefully no one sleeps in that room. How does it feel to sleep in that tent, and have you ever slept in it? Title: Re: My solution to keeping cards cool as summer temperatures rise: Hydroponics tent Post by: bmgs on May 04, 2018, 05:22:29 PM Great!! I have to find a solution in order to cool my mining rig.
I think you should fin a solution to noise and possibility of fire. Safety comes the first!
