I found out about bitcoin by playing minethings.com.  I joined here to see if there is a way to advertise or a list that I could get on to let people know that my business gaussboys.com accepts BTC

I joined bitcointalk because virtual currencies become more and more interesting

Forums are the best way to obtain information in a fast way.
This is THE btc forum, needless to say I've joined to be able to get and give information, ask questions, and vote.

I wanted to join the community once and for all after a year just lurking around!

Because it seems to be the best BTC/Crypto community
Because there's a hell of a lot of info and help available by knowledgeable peeps.
Because you can win/earn free coins
Because you can sell and buy shit.
Because of the sometimes intelligent discussion

My main motive is to earn big. I believe bitcointalk might be a good place to earn fast and in a big way.

Bitcointalk is a treasure trove of information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. The only downside these days is that there is so much information on here it can be difficult to sift through and find exactly what you're looking for.

Mainly to gather information about various currencies, and figure out where I am presently going wrong w/ mining

I've been mining on and off for about two years and been burned twice on pools that ended up disappearing from the face of earth.
Given the recent push that BTC and LTC are getting I became interested again into cryptocurrencies and decided to join this community.

I joined bitcointalk because I wanted to learn more about BTC and the BTC mining scene.

Because it's the place to be.

I heard about bitcoins around the time of Cyprus bank problem. However, I have only just gotten into them (have ~.6 atm) and hope to get more/learn more about them. I joined bitcointalk because it appeared to be the most popular/best bitcoin forum.

I wanted to join bitcoin to know how it works as a virtual currency.

Now I am highly interested in mining and earning some coins for me.

Learn about the market, discuss trends other users, and I stumbled across a free FTC thread :3

I joined because I am very interested in cryptocurrencies and this seems like the best forum. Also because there are helpful people here and also free stuff  :D

I am a solid invester of a few BTC projects.  I always lurked, but the boys over at the Activemining board have gone ape.  I needed to join to voice my opinion.....and also at this point partake in the collective conciousness of BTC.

Because I need one post before I can properly comment and because it must be several sentences and of a substantial nature.

But seriously I'm about to invest a considerable portion of my savings in Cryptos and I need to figure out whether it is animal spirits or people are backing this from a sustainable point of view. Looking for indefinite hold.

I just want to be more involved in this new currency system.

I bet i can also earn some money in this learing process.

I heard this place has the largest and the most diverse Bitcoin supporting community. I knew I would learn a lot by joining this forum.

I've known bitcoin since I discovered the deep web in early 2012, but I never gave much thought about it because back then I perceived bitcoin as an underground currency. In May, I received a bitcoin tip of 3 dollars as a donation to help out protesters in the Gezi Park protests. I have been following and learning about bitcoin, free markets and crypto-anarchy ever since. I joined the forums to further educate myself and profit from taking part in  the rather early stages of what I believe to be the money of the future.

I joined to learn more about altercoins, use that knowledge and then help other users :-) But seriously, just reading this forum seems to require a fulltime job because there is sooo much new stuff being posted every second. Still - looking forward to the months to come :-)

Mainly to participate in group buys/shares as purchasing mining equipment is costly, and I move every three months (gonna be a haste to move equipment). Plus the abundence of information and inteligent people :)

It seems to be the largest community dedicated to bitcoin, and I'm very interested in reading what other people have to say about coins as well learning about some altcoins.

I join because I think there is a lot of misinformation/ conflicting views out there regarding bitcoins. I think this is the best place to stay informed  ;)

Learn Cryptocurrency and find will it suit my business needs. Looking for ways to integrate bitcoins to payments.

Hello all, I joined because I want to learn as much as I can about bitcoins.

Seems like the best single place to learn about altcoins (read the specs, papers, get an idea of what the crypto population thinks of x coin, etc.)

I'm won't go so far as to predict the death of bitcoin, but altcoins are definitely the new frontier! Now just have to wait and see what the Zerocoin guys come up with...

i have been interested in cryptocurrency only for a short while now.
i joined to try and sell my services as a computer graphics animator on the services forum

since browsing the site for a few days now though i have come to realise what a large community it is.
i have found cool things to look at which have informed about cryptocurrencies to the extent that i
have started litecoin mining and have made a grand total of 0.0003 so far
its not the financial gain that interests as much as the political agenda of supporting cryptocurrencies

i came to this forum to hustle.. and as it turns out, i'm not a great hustla.

I first learned about bitcoin last year from NPR's Planet Money podcast.  I've lurked the forum for a while but registered so I can contribute.

This forum is great for learning about bitcoins, discussing issues with very diverse people and finding out how to get more bitcoin!  While the price of BTC has curtailed a lot of the giveaways that used to happen here, this is still one of the best sources for finding BTC.

First it started when I looked for my gpu configurations and mostly are given here when I try to search from google se. Then lately I loved to join the discussions and so I then was convinced to join the forum.

everytime I google anything about bitcoin, I end up back here!! So thought might as well sign up!

also, I'm trying to get in touch with a vendor shop who ain't replied to any of my emails!

I started using it at the beginning of the year when I started mining.  I mainly mine on Slush, Bitminter, and BTCGuild and all 3 have their pool forums hosted here.  Also, nearly all my hardware configuration info has come from here.  I finally decided to join and stop "window shopping".

If the per day return is $200 per day for the 2 TH rig then the investment is paid off in 30 days.
