It is recommmended to fund it with more so that you can run more miners concurrently. 0.05 BTC should be fine, and gives you over $110 of credit. 2. Set up the chunk. Use Ubuntu 12.04 or 13.10 for the OS. The root password will be emailed to you. 3. SSH into the chunk using either putty (Windows) or ssh (linux). Run the following: Code: # apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade. 4. Compile CPU miners as usual. Warning: flag "-O3" or flat "-march=native" seems to cause SIGILL to be thrown. So for just 0.1 BTC you get (at 1,088.50/BTC) $253 of credit - 28 months worth of server time! (That's 4.2 MH/s of Quark for 1 month)

If anyone wants VPS mining but doesn't have PayPal account, this is a great alternative, as well as allowing you to take advantage of rise in BTC price.
