When: Saturday, August 13th, 2011 at 4:30pm Where: Oliver Twist pub in Zurich Special Guest: Mike has got one of his Google colleagues flying in all the way from Mountain View, CA! :D Today we hit block 140000 meaning more than a third of all Bitcoins have now been issued and some of them have already gained fame or infamy. But better solutions for storing and protecting wallets are coming out all the time and the Bitcoin ecosystem is evolving quickly. Let's talk about the latest trends and catch up on what this summer brought for Bitcoin! I also want to use this chance to plug my BitcoinJS/Webcoin talk at Webtuesday this Tuesday, 9th August 2011 at 7:30pm. This is also in Zurich and it'll be in English. Do you know that there is the street parade on Sat 13th? You should ... maybe a good way to create PR and awareness for bitcoin? A bitcoin techno car? Naked people tattooed with bitcoins? ,... It's actually kind of hard to predict - the pub is located just a few blocks from the route, so it might be more crowded because of the parade, or it might be less crowded, because everyone is out on the streets. In any event, it looks like we'll only be about 5-6 people so hopefully we'll be able to squeeze in somewhere.
