Title: ASIC mining is still good?
Post by: Randy005 on November 29, 2013, 08:56:08 PM
Hi! I want to start to mine crypto-currency. I read a lot on Internet and I want to try. My question is: is it still good to mine with an USB ASIC? Are there other crypto-currency to mine with ASIC? My dream is Cointerra  ;D but they're very expensive.

Some altcoins are only CPU coin. You can find any profitable coin to mine and make profit with any hardware you have.

Cubes seem ok
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349787.0

but at 1BTC it is a lot to start with.

just to start out try CEX.io  http://cex.io/informer/mogrith/ec3ea070c90b7d5f29c84d4aadce89e6/ (https://cex.io/r/0/mogrith/0/)
you can buy very small amounts

I started mining last week and I am thinking to buy a ASIC, but the difficulty is still increasing so this is a little bit risked.

Actually you can mine a number of different currencies that use SHA-256 algos.

IMO, Peercoin (PPC) is next best bet :)
