Title: Hardware for Bitcoin and litecoin mining

Hi Guys sorry to ask such a basic question..

Im after hardware, i just want to keep my options open and be able to switch to litecoins or feathercoins later using the same equipment.  I like black arrow, i know their minion is specific bitcoin, what about their other equipment..

any other suggestions would really be appreciatted.

I think bitcoin is the only coin you can actually use miners on. Most others are either not profitable or scrypt based. Unless you buy power hogging video cards.

You can only mine sha256 coins with sha256 asics. So far there aren't any asics for scrypt mining (for litecoins for example)
If you want to be able to change between different coins you should buy gpu's but gpu's suck for bitcoins because of the high difficulty.

Thanks guys...

So if i invest in 4th generation technology,  the earlies i can get my hands on good  hardware is  beginning march, based on difficulty level if it doesnt work out mining bitcoins, i can use the equipment as  a doorstop.. or what else can i use it for black arrow prosp x3.

If you start mining in march it will earn you good amount of btc.
But you can't use it for anything else.
Sha256 only!
