Title: What is the Most undervalued AltCoin in the market ?
Post by: GigaCoin on November 30, 2013, 01:06:31 PM
What is the most undervalued Altcoin in your opinion?

Personally i think it's NameCoin. It truly is the coin that no one talks about, yet it's the rarest of them all. It should be valued at $200+ by now, it's unique, great tech and has various uses. However it lacks widespread adoption (so far) but i believe its time will come and those patient enough to hold it will reap the rewards.

Franko definitely atm. However, namecoin is a really nice idea but isnt ment to be traded as a currency because think about it its a domain name system and that is how it should be treated.

its true name coin isn't intended as a currency, but it's value is in the fact that decentralized domains are the future which name coin is used for. When demand for decentralized domains increase so will name coin.

I've been looking into franko , looks promising i might dive into that soon.

Rather than asking what is the most undervalued coins, how about asking:-
What are the coins that have the most long term values to the marketplace (not the one that just for pump and dump)?

Investing in coins that have the most long term value, you will at least sleep well at night.

Personally, I think coins that have the most long term value MUST have a few criteria:-
1. The coin must be innovative
2. The coin must be providing value to the marketplace for now or the future
3. The coin has a good community with volunteer to promote the coin.
4. There are some vendors (online or offline) already accepted the coin as the payment.
5. The founder of the coin must be really committed in developing the coin to make it unique from the rest of the coins.

What are the coins that satisfy all the above criteria? I am not going to tell you that. You have to do your research.

Devcoin (DVC) satisfies all those criteria.

Definitely ADT. I have been telling people about it for days. there were some people who were saying that the network was broken when it fact it had been working fine all along. Cryptsy had a problem with their ADT wallet, this caused a suppression in price while all the other alts rallied.

Cryptsy finally fixed the issue on their end. The network syncs. Blocks are being minted, ADT is 100% PoS so no GPU mining and no miners to dump on the coin. The only way to get coins is to buy them on the exchange or to PoS mine.

PoS mining is set at .01 % so inflation is not really an issue.

ADT was trading at .00000013 last night and today its at .00000033, it has more than doubled its price. It has less coins than IFC and TIX but yet it still has a lower price. When compared to IFC which has 90 billion coins and is trading at .00000209 vs ADT which has 66 Billion coins but is trading at .00000033, ADT is still cheap.

Buy recommendation on ADT.

Use this (http://coinselect.info/) calculator or this (http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency) for mining profitability.

They are all overvalued right now.
e: I know you don't wanna hear it, but they failed to deliver any fundamental value.

+1

truer words have never been spoken, if it properly undervalued no one would say it here, only people wanting to offload their bags say its undervalued in these threads.

There is no real "value" for crypto-currencies.  Their value is what people are willing to pay; which means there is no real 'undervalued' crypto-currency.

Based on other prices and gains in last 2 weeks it has to be DGC.

It's strange to see such a good coin being left behind some really shit coins.

The only value that altcoins have is as experiments to test ideas for improving the Bitcoin platform.  In the end there can only be one.  If some altcoin does turn out to have some significant advantage, it will be adopted into Bitcoin.

Investing in altcoins is like learning the Klingon language.  Have fun playing, but don't think it's going to land you a job as a translator for Star Fleet, or in the real world, either.

Our challenge is to get everyone in the world to convert from their current fiat currency to Bitcoin, a job made harder by the fact that banks hate the idea of money that doesn't exist primarily for he purpose of making banksters richer, and the socialists in power hate the idea of fiscal responsibility.  Altcoins are a foolish distraction from that task.

I invite you to stop playing and join in the real fight.

Please provide me any good features being offered by the coin.

CGB, Franko (maybe), MEC (still exploding).

I foresee MegaCoin challenging BTC more than LTC ever did in regards to being utilized as a currency.

DGC doesn't have anything really setting it apart at the moment.  It has a lot of "promised" features in development like CryptoAve, but nothing actually in use.
