I have a specific wallet in Electrum for a shares miner with some friends and I would like to send them their BTC specifically from on of the addresses. So, is it possible to choose the address from which the coins come from when creating a SEND operation? (as of version 1.9.5 only) Title: Re: Send coins from a specific receiving address Post by: wu-shih on January 20, 2017, 10:53:09 PM I recently installed version 2.7.17 of Electrum and do not see this feature when right-clicking a funded address. Is there a way to send from a specific address using Electrum? If not, does anyone have an alternative suggestion? Thank you!
Title: Re: Send coins from a specific receiving address Post by: wu-shih on January 20, 2017, 11:05:09 PM I believe I have the solution. Within Electrum, go to Wallet -> Coins. This replaces the "Address" tab with a "Coins" tab. From here, right click, select "Spend".

I tried upgrading to Electrum 2.7.17 from an older 2.7 version and could indeed no longer spend from the Addresses tab for some reason. I'm guessing its due to the following change in the changelog: Code: * Qt: use separate tabs for addresses and UTXOs Using that new Coins tab, I was able to send from specific addresses. Wonder why they removed the Send From on the addresses tab. |
