Title: Is there a way to sell btc through paypal with no risk of fraudster reversals?
Post by: bitcoinmiami on November 30, 2013, 10:15:16 PM
E.g., having buyer send it as a "service rendered"?  Verified accounts?  I'm looking to sell btc in incriments of .2-.5 and just want to know the ways to minimize or eliminate risk from fraudster buyers. Thanks for the knowledge guys.

transfer the money to your bank before releasing coins. So that it is irreversible.

If the send the payment as a gift then they cannot report that you never gave them that item. Also I used to run a private game server and we took donations. if its a donation or a ift they cannot win a dispute. the person above me is retarded. cause they would just make your paypal negative and after 90 days of it negative they report to credit companies and then you have bad credit

Then they will just give you a negative balance which you will have to pay back. If your address is registered with them they'll probably send out debt collectors eventually or at least threaten to via letters.

No, but you can reduce risk by dealing with trusted people and taking precautions. Ask for ID, a phonecall, and skype chat. Don't get catfished.

Gift or Donation doesn't matter

If the owner of the paypal account claims "fraud / account hacked" it will be refunded.  (especially if a credit card was involved)

I have had a negative -$900+ balance in my paypal account from some jagoff reversing on me, after I swept the account. So, that doesn't work unless you're willing to burn paypal and walk from the account.

Paypal does not like this idea very much. If they find out that you are selling Bitcoins they will freeze your account any time they want. Search the forums for some related topics discussed previously.
