Title: Award Option/s for Bounty Hunters
Post by: [Frederick] on May 04, 2018, 10:06:02 PM
Depend on what category you like to join under a campaign what would you like to have at the end of the campaign? This may serve as a reference for future bounty awards to the project team so careful what you wish----

everyone can manage if they will receive this kind of award, 50% ICO token + 50 ETH/BTC while waiting for the token to be on the exchange they can invest the eth awards or they can starts trading if they have bitcoin

I've voted "70% ICO token + 30% ETH/BTC" but i think that is 70% is the minimun of ICO token that someone should have.
I join a bounty becouse i believe in the project so even 100% of ICO token would be great!

I voted for 50% in ICO tokens+ 50% in Eth. I prefer this rather than ICO tokens+ Usd, because Eth and Btc are better for me than cash, as in the long-term their value tends to get higher. Also, it's nice to have some Eth or Btc, because you can convert them very easy and fast into cash if i need to do so.

In my opinion, the perfect balance would be the 70/30 option for most of the campaigns that I participate in. If I would participate in campaigns of less promising projects, the preference would gravitate towards the option with the higher allocation of  ETH/BTC as their tokens would be harder to liquidate.

I don't think bounty hunters are always after for higher rewards because it's impossible to predict the future that joining specific bounty campaign and always getting higher rewards than the other.
For me, earning around $1,000 more or less is better than earning nothing.
but the figure on this thread shows generous partition but I don't think every ICO are offering high allocation rewards for it's bounty campaign participants.
I think they know what deserves for us in return of helping them on promoting their ICO to the public.

The poll is so ambitious and far away from reality. But I am glad if the OP's poll even the lowest part become true. For me, I am not contented on what I can earn in a bounty right now. What I want to change is the scam ICOs. I want to filter them so that, we have 90% assurance thaf our hardwork and sacrifices will be paid off.

No matter how small or big that the bounty rewards will give, until there are scam and failed ICOs, we can't satisfy our work.

This is a very subjective topic, it all depend on the team, I have seen many hybrid of bounty reward and you opt for the one that suit you. Some team don't have money for marketing and see bounty as a means to promote and market their project so they go for 100% tokens most of the time. I read somewhere than some team spend more than $1 million to promote and market their ICO

I would like the 70% in the tokens and maybe the rest in ETH and BTC. That would be a nice hedge and also some tokens take a long time to get listed on exchanges and some do not even reach an exchange at all. So if we were paid a little in Eth or BTC that would really help us at least make sure we have some income form the tasks we perform without getting only the tokens that might be rendered useless in the process, while we helped the ICO project gain all their capital and funding.

i will go for the second choice, rewarding by ico token 50% + 50% in etherium, so we bounty hunters can be a holders too, i mean hunters can get fast Money by get the etherium, and didnt be a dumper to sell the token they get.

I will go with 50% tokens and 50% ETH/BTC going by the growing numbers of ICOs, recall last year 46% of ICOs failed invariably many bounty hunters will not be paid, however with adoption of this payment method  as suggested by OP will go a long way in ensuring 50% payment to the bounty participants.

Probably the 50% tokens and 50% ETH/BTC. Since having btc/eth would secure your money. Tokens may be trash, but eth/btc though has a little value, may be valued more as time rises. But for the token, it may be trash all throughout.

I like the idea of having 50% ICO token and the 50% ETH since we can receive the half payment right after the bounty and we will just wait for the half award if they finished the ICO since we still advertise our signature right after the bounty period end, its a win-win situation I think.

100% ICO tokens as it stands in my opinion, if you believe that the token you're promoting won't even hold it's value then you shouldn't be promoting it to others.

I voted for the tokens 100%. If this is a promising project, then why not.
Clearer conditions for participation and payments are much more important for me. Sometimes you read bounty post and don't understand anything. There is no information when the end, how much they pay.
The efficiency of bounty manager is also of great importance. I have seen many times how bounty managers stopped the bounty project at the slightest suspicion of fraud. They have more experience and they can quickly notice signs of scam, as they often communicate with the developers themselves.

HUH? I do not see this of yours on the wrong board as to say for me that is how I see it, taht your topic is not in the wrong boar.

So, back to the mean topic of yours.  Well I like to have more altcoin and in the end exchange it for bitcoin , in short I want more bitcoin. Also you if you mean a gift for myself it would be a gadget that I could use is my works choice and school. Also how can be my answer and question of your would be a reference? how would that help the team? There is mission to make advertisement like doing a bounty campaign.

I saw some campaign with 'Sylon' with ETH as payment and half award is the token, I do love to see some campaign like this in the future since most likely some token take 2-6 months to have value or before you can use them to trade or to use on them to make transactions.

I believe that if we'd get an average of all projects, 'bounty hunters' would earn more actual value by receiving btc than the tokens, considering the fail rate of startups, and the very long waiting time for projects to get started, listed on actual exchanges, gain value etc.

While I'm not really an active bounty hunter, I would personally prefer btc - however, isn't part of the point of bounties simply a way for startups to get marketing without any actual costs?
It costs nothing to create tokens, and they can get thousands of people to spread their project around, and if it ultimately fails, they lost nothing in terms of marketing costs.

I'd choose 50% bounty + 50% ETH/BTC in ICO price why? If the campaign just ended it is hard to dump the coin because it is not listed to good exchange site, meanwhile id you have 50/50 you can directly exchange eth/btc to fiat or hold them at the same time you still have the bounty token to hold and wait for future use.

Well if you really join a promising ICO then you should take all 100% ICO token as rewards, but we always say risks is always there, so I voted with 70% ICO token plus 30% ETH since I can use this 30% to invest more on their project after I got my rewards.

My best choiche is 50% tokens + 50% ETH/BTC because usually I send half of my tokens and hold the rest for months.....but it's annoying going into exchanges with low liquidity..

I like tokens better than money, perhaps a fixed amount would be nice, but it is not really necessary to have that much certainty because is much more fun to see what happens at the end.

When I do bounty is because I do support the ICO and it is perfectly fine to be paid with ICO tokens. It is a bit of a lottery I guess, but as long  as they treat me fairly I am fine.
