Title: Sending Satoshi message to Space
Post by: remotemass on December 02, 2013, 06:59:30 PM
What if Nasa and other space agencies told us that they would send to Space a message from someone able to prove with a digital signature that he was Satoshi.
Would Satoshi be willing to send any message to Space? What do you think the message could be?

Interesting question, logic dictates me to believe that Satoshi would value his anonymity over anything, and thus wouldn't go for it though.

It would be very nice though, when he lets us know who he was when he is about to leave this world. (with the private keys to prove it ofc) Just so we can learn even more from him, even if it is through reverse learning.

How would he prove that he is Satoshi?

How would he prove that he is Satoshi?

By spending a coin mined from the genesis block and/or signing with his GPG key.

The coins mined from the genesis block will never be spendable.
However, 12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX is one of satoshi's many addresses :)
