Title: bitdriller mining contracts
Post by: smoothie on August 08, 2011, 06:23:46 AM
One of the forums posted that bitdriller.com is providing mining contracts.

Price of bitcoins would have to be at $21.5 just to break even on a 1 Gh/s contract for one month at $350.

I'm pretty sure no one is signing up for any of these contracts anytime soon.

If $21.50 is the break even point I would say that I wouldn't be enticed to have a contract like this until bitcoins is > $30 USD.

Any thoughts?

To be honest I have never understood why anyone would buy a mining contract rather than buying coins directly.

Has anyone here on the forum ever bought a mining contract?

There's plenty of people who have bought mining contracts. It's because you get newly minted coins, that's valuable to some people.

Seriously? In that case, let it be known that wormbog has newly minted bitcoins for sale for only $10/ea. I've also got fresh bitdimes for $1/ea. They're so new they're still warm! :)
