Title: When will offshore casinos get on board with bitcoin?
Post by: phinzphan on December 03, 2013, 12:40:04 AM
I'll place the occasional bet online mainly sports and poker and I can't help to wonder, why  won't they use bitcoin? It would be much easier for players and site operators alike to pass funds back and forth. There would be zero Government or bank  interference (since it's all anonymous). And  there would be no risk of checks bouncing. Even reliable  books/casinos/poker rooms etc have checks bounce at the fault of processors.  So why not pass all this nonsense and deal with bitcoin?  When do you think Bitcoin will catch on with offshore gambling, if at all? Seems like an offshore casino's dream.

ps: I didn't try posting on a gambling forum because I don't know how the site defines "Local forum" so I posted it here.. if you wish to move it, feel free.

There are already lots of bitcoin casinos, sportsbooks, poker... it's probably the biggest bitcoin industry next to drugs right now.

True, but it seems but I still find it odd the likes of  pokerstars, pinnacle, bookmaker,  and others that have been around for a while, haven't gotten on board with this. Some sites won't take US customers, but since bitcoin is pretty much untraceable, this would be an out for them, no?
