try to rename cgminer.conf and restart

what you have in cgminer.conf file needs to be taken out and put into a file called start.bat which you need to place in your cgminer folder, bosscoin.conf needs to be in the Bosscoin folder located in Roaming, you can find this by clicking on Start then type in %appdata% which will take you to your Roaming folder where Bosscoin folder will be

just paste and copy that cgminer conf string, in a cgminer shortcut in the desktop, don't need any bat file

I think cryptsy is learning their lesson on adding all shitcoins, also they are just diluting the value of any new capital coming in. Datacoin is still not even added and that is quite an innovative coin even if people dont think it is a great idea.

I don't believe many of these new wave of copy and paste clones will make it now. Let's hope not when we have a billion alt coins what's the point.

THat method is not going to work out now, cryptsy once added any shit ...even orbit coin.  However they are now taking their time and selecting coins. They have already bitten more than they can chew on and i bet they wish they could dump a pile of those crap coins from the exchange. All the hassle for them with the wallets etc, the resources.

Anyway its a free market but i think the method above will not work for much longer. Even now several coins have not made it to cryptsy some had huge hash at the first day and now worth nothing.

People like this shark selling 50k of instamined shit for 1.5btc are the only sharks now. They have huge gpu farms and suck up all the coins at the start and then dump them out on people knowing they will be worth nothing in the future.

You think cryptsy wants to make alts look stupid with 1 million different copy and paste coins all the very same? No chance, to get into the market at all they had to take all coins, the ones most exchanges would not go near. Now though they don't need to and actually can't anyway. Their exchange breaks on each new wave of interest because of having already tons too many coins.

I´m possibly doing something wrong here, been running cgminer for about two hours with no blocks/stales/anything found, now noticed that on one of the first lines where it details the connection mode it says "diff 11k". Does that mean it's thinking the difficulty is 11K instead of 0.1x?
(I've been playing around with the intensity, don't look at the hashrate too much)

Let me make sure I'm mining correctly. I downloaded the client, then I let it sync. I went to the mining tab and hit Start Mining, and it says mining started. I'm mining at 1014 hashes per second. Am I doing everything correctly? Or do I need to edit some files somewhere?

I have some issues with the pool (bsspool.dyndns.org) i dont know if it's normal or not :
On my dashboard, it says i mine@ 0.2MH/s, it's normal i have only a GTX 570 :/
But on the pool statistics page, i have 0.2KH/s.

So, what is my real Hashrate there? Is it even possible to mine @ 0.2KH/s? :/

you won't see anything for a while, just be patient.

as I learned on this thread, your barrier to beat is the "diff 38.1K", and as your screen shows your current best share is 2.8K. Once you surpass that barrier it will generate a block, which could be then accepted, rejected, or even accepted but orphaned. You are not going to see shares when solo mining, shares are only for pools and when you are solo your only option is to generate a block or not.

At the current difficulty it's still possible to solo mine with your hashrate, just sit tight and you might get a few blocks.

With another specific miner for Quarkcoin I get about 25 khas/s in a i5 of 4 threads, but this is very low, mining Quarks I get about 400 khas/s

It doesn't detect my GPU, but I'm running no-gpu version and I supose these is not necessary.

I've tried using both Chrome (ver:31.0.1650.63 m) and Internet Explorer (ver: 11). I'm running Win 7 Pro on my laptop.
