Since you already have sql express installed, simply copy the files in the easyinstall folder
https://github.com/Bitoy88/MyMastercoinsWalletBeta/

Copy all files in the easyinstall folder  to your a folder
ex. c:\MyMastercoinsWallet

 Run c:\MyMastercoinsWallet\MyMastercoinsWallet.exe

Please follow the link below for user's instructions.

Have SQL and tried easy install - it says that there is no program associated to the executable file...

I'm guessing it maybe has something with my SQL so i'll install 2008 express an try again...

The exe program should just run.  Can you post a screen shot.

If you already have SQL, try to import the tables at mymastercoins.mdf.   Then enter the connect string in the settings tab.

Update:

I was able to get into the wallet as long as I ignored the error. (posted above)
In the wallet I get the error "Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index 0"

I filled out my settings and followed the guide, I am not waiting for it to update as it now says "Getting Exodus Transactions..."

I don't see any progress being made though? But it's only been a few minutes so I will give it some time.

New error while wallet is running : http://pastebin.com/J4zTQvew

Still stuck at "getting exodus transactions"

The error means it is not connecting to the SQL 2008 express db.

Click settings tab

There is a field there connect string. If you know the connect strin to Mymastercoins.mdf you can enter it there, then restart the program.

If you have ms  SQL try to import the mymastercoin.mdf then enter you SQL connect string in the settings.

(I should not have used SQL express 2008 will check if updating to SQL 2010 fixes the problem)

Mymastercoins wallet v 1.01 released.

When running  mymastercoins.exe for the first time.  Click continue then go to settings to enter the rpc settings.

Please post here if you encounter installation problems.   Thank you.

Edit

If you don't have tmsc to sell you can buy first from.

Please limit the buys up to 2 tmsc.  Then sell it again so that we can test the distributed exchange.

Did you run setup.exe?

After getting the zip file from GitHub.  Extract it to a folder.

you will see a mymastercoinstwc.zip

Extract this file to a folder

Run setup.exe

Is it possible to use MyMastercoins Wallet as portable software?

The wallet will get data directly from mymastercoins.com sql server.

It just needs to know where bitcoind.exe is located so that it can send transactions.

Here are the steps I did for a clean install

installed the bitcoin wallet version 0.8.5 with the default settings.
Copy the  bitcoin shortcut to the desktop
Right click shortcut
click properties
Replace  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe"  to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe" - server
Double click on the shortcut

Run the MM wallet.

Try the following

Create a new address.
Send .01 btc to your new address.
Try to purchase using the new address.

(Mastercoin protocol requires only one sender address.  )

You cannot start application MyMastercoinsWallet2 from this location because it is already installed from a different location.

Can the installer be made to Just Work (TM) ?

Please try the 2.01 installer.

setup.exe is in the zip file
MyMastercoinsWallet20100.zip

Running setup.exe from within the 2.01 zip, I get this:

After dragging the application files manually to a folder on my desktop, I run it and get this:

Hope that helps!

I'll update the db to sql 2010. It seems the sql 2008 has a lot of compatibility issues.

I will also update the engine as soon as we have tmsc consensus.   Please check the contest tread reg. rounding.

I believe I did try that version yesterday.
Now when I try to download from your link, I somehow download a zip file with zero size from github.

I am not able to download the right file. Can you upload it to Dropbox or something?

COMPONENT STORE TRANSACTION DETAILS
   No transaction information is available.

My solution: extract the installation to c:\tmp\aaa and run it from there.

1. Why does it matter where I run the installer from?

My next question:
2. Why does setup.exe run the wallet, rather than _install_ it?

3. I'm getting connection times to SQL (exception stacktrace (http://pastebin.com/snnrahwf))

Also I'm getting this screen:

https://i.imgur.com/qyIgr4l.png

4. I seem to be able to add any address I want, without verification for it being a valid BTC/MSC address.

You need to unzip to a folder ex c:\temp then run c:\temp\setup.exe

Most systems cant run SQL 2008.  I'll upgrade the installer and use a new local db.

You can add any address but it is for viewing only.

Instead of using SQL 2008.  DB now uses LocalDB

ConnectString is

Data Source=(LocalDB)\v11.0;AttachDbFilename="|DataDirectory|\MyMastercoins.MDF";Integrated Security=True

That is what I did.
It seems that if the folder I unzip it to isn't identical to the folder I unzipped it to last time, it does't work.

OK, waiting for the upgrade.

I haven't seen an answer to this yet.

Understood. Does the wallet distinguish between watch only addresses and fully controlled addresses?
