Title: Cryptocurrencies price
Post by: BraveSaw on May 05, 2018, 06:31:41 PM
What do you think, which price for bitcoin, ethereum we will see at the end of the year?
We can see different predictions. Someone say that bitcoin will be 14k$, someone 25k$. Ethereum - 1.7-5k$.
All of them very optimistic, but is it possible that prices will go down? Due to for example government tries to control or close this business, or any other reasons...

I feel like something great is coming. I mean the changes are coming. Government cant stand without actions anymore seeing tons of money that they cant control (fortheir profit, of course). Hopefully, crypto wont be tied :-\

They can't tie an open peer-to-peer system, or would just like attempts of the Russian gov to ban telegram.
Cryptos will live no matter what and I think most of the governments are smart enough to realise it. That's why of they want to live, they can only adopt the technology, recognise at least top coins and try to tax exchanges, or make their own investments of coins.

Nothing can stop the cryptocurrency from moving forward. We have already seen China banned cryptocurrencies in 2017. The cryptocurrency was briefly hit at the time, but it soon recovered at the end of last year.

So far, the positive emotional background of the cryptocurrency and the market is in a growing trend. Something to say or predict here is difficult, but personally, I look at the market positively

There is always a larger possibility that bitcoin and ethereum price will go down rather than a bull.

Look, we cannot control what decision will make of every holder of the said coin. They can easily sell if they feel they have the profit from how much they invested it with.
If that happens, even for just a small bear then it could lead to a domino effect that may also make small investors sell their coins. You can say it will just be a dip because it will still go up once they buy back. Problem is you do not know when.

It is really hard to tell as of the moment it is really hard to tell what will be the prices of most cryptocurrencies by the end of the year and much more harder to predict booming cryptos in the market. It will really come to statistic analyzation and luck to find booming cryptos.

Hovever I believe that that market is steadily going back up and it will have a new stabilization point in the coming months specially with the good prices this month.

Just remember though that every pump in the market there will be always a downward trend to it and every downward trend their will always be a pump it just need is time.

I think that year will be the great for bitcoin because:
- Most of tools for bitcoin coming soon like LN, swaps and others
- Investment funds begin come to cryptospace
- Most of failed ICOs begin show to all real trust to bitcoin and their community
My prediction in end of this year will be bitcoin ATH  - 25k

I think that at least for now a lot of depends on interest to the technology and crypto prices are formed from a big part of hype. At least for now...

Predictions won't work and it can't be helped even if we say that it will increase by 200% there's no evidence that will support it, so instead of making and asking for predictions why don't we just plan for ourselves, plan a strategy when the price decreased, a plan when increased, we can't predict the price of cryptocurrency because it's the community will decide what will be it's final price. For example 80% of the total investors will buy bitcoin and 20% will sell it the price of bitcoin will increase in short it depends on the demand of a certain cryptos.

But There's 3 only possibilities that may happen at the end of the year:
1. It will increase.
2. It will decrease.
3. It will just stay the same.

No one can answer this question. It is necessary to be ready for any development of events. Also it is necessary to understand that investing in crypto currencies can make a profit and a loss.

The prices will go down for sure before the end of the summer, but we will have another good run. My prediction for the end of the year is Ethereum around $2000 and Bitcoin around $25000.

After December-January, many people learned about the crypt, and many wanted to join the cryptocurrency world, but were afraid, because only a fall was seen, but not growth. And when the recovery started, I'm sure all these people started buying crypto-currency for the purpose of earning money. While all do not pay off, the rate will not fall. And not everyone buys at the bottom, some people are waiting for a confident growth.

I really do not like to give any predictions. Especially in the cryptocurrency market. Since it is very unpredictable. By the end of the year, we can see any alignment. But I believe that everything will be fine  :)

It is not an easy thing to make exact predictions about that. But in my opinion, the popularity of the cryptocurrencies is increasing, and I think this situation likely to continue like that in the future too.

i am pretty sure that they will be better than now.
they will hit again the milestone like december 2017 was.
the price will depend as is, supply and demand of the people.

BTC > 50.000 USD
ETH > 2.000 USD

No one will be able to tell you the price of a particular cryptocurrency and all the forecasts that you will read anywhere, this is just the opinion of a particular person. Indeed, anything can happen and the price will drop, but be reasonable and believe in cryptocurrency, the market is already so large that it can not be stopped.

My predictions is 15K$ - 25K$ for BTC and 3K$ - 5K$ for eth. The ETH has fallen in price this year very strongly, well then should will be more expensive.

It depends, for instance if you'd ask me the same question 1year ago I wouldn't even think bitcoin could hit 20k. Everything is possible, I just don't want to say any number as it is hard to predict such things as bitocin where you have fast market moves. I honestly think price will be 20k or more if everything goes all right but it could also go down you never know.

All of them very optimistic
All of us are very positive with the coins that we are holding and we all want it to see at the top prices so that we can get enough profit when needed.

but is it possible that prices will go down? Due to for example government tries to control or close this business, or any other reasons...
Everything is possible in the market, there are unexpected dips that may occur and can pull more than 50% of it's total price just like what we've witnessed before.

But we are done with that scenario so this is now the time for bitcoin and gang to rise.

Possible for ethereum to rise,as bitcoin's value is getting more massive most of the altcoins in the market will going to be more massive, theres no telling how much these coins can be few months from now, which is why i am holding my coins tightly because i strongly believe in our market as more and more investors are joining to us.

No one can see the price on December, but we can speculate at least what will be the outcome this year end using the data movement of their price each day.

We can see different predictions. Someone say that bitcoin will be 14k$, someone 25k$. Ethereum - 1.7-5k$.
Since people saw their prices on different hours and different days, therefore, we will come up with different speculation

All of them very optimistic, but is it possible that prices will go down? Due to for example government tries to control or close this business, or any other reasons...

Crypto prices are determined by demand and market sales, making it difficult to predict. The popularity of bitcoin, ethereum, and other crypto from time to time continues to increase. It will certainly encourage the number of requests and investors for project development and prices to rise. This year, I am optimistic that bitcoin and ethereum prices will surpass last year's prices.

I agree with you. Indicators such as the BTC will increase to $ 25,000, ETH will rise to $ 2,000 by the end of this year is conjecture and only right when this market does not suffer any adverse effects from outside. But cryptocurrencies are always subject to negative news as well as bans from governments, so the expected rate of exchange is only the optimism of investors in the cryptocurrency market.

Government always wanting to take control of these cryptocurrencies probably not for closure but for the purpose of taxation because they have seen a lot of money that generates of these business, but this is not the factor that can affect the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin, the most possible causes of price movement is the market supply and demand meaning the users of these cryptocurrencies is the main factor of the price hike.

Forget about the any intervention from the government and you shall see about the majority of good news about cryptocurrency. In my opinion any intervention from the regulators and nor the government will not guve a lot of impact to the crypto market. Crypto is more mature and every parts of crypto looks really solid right now.

see from the bitcoin and ethereum price chart statistics, generally the bitcoin and ethereum prices have a positive trend towards the end of the year (starting end of Q2 until the end of the year). because of those statistics, many people are optimistic that bitcoin prices will rise, and predict that this is a good time to buy them.

Honestly, I am always looking at the price its the morning and evening ritual for me, I like checking how much money I made or lost, I don't care now about the price increased at the end of the year I don't expect that much now, I just want to feel comfortable knowing that I made at least 40% profit or more.

At the end of the year my prediction of bitcoin price is 50k , and ethereum will be in between 5k -10k ,
Now comes to your second question will price decrease if govt put regulations on cryptocurrency
In my opinion price will not decrease , Because after regulations more people will come it will be not consider as a illegal activities and people will discuss accept and spend cryptocurrency Because now its in regulations of government , I think it will bring more Hegde funds in Cryptocurrency market

Hegde Funds are coming in take a look :) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3497053.msg36162002#msg36162002)

I dont agree with this government intervention can greatly affect cryptocurrencies , Remember that time when ICO are being banned on china ? crypto market suddenly all go red , meanwhile adaptation of cryptocurrency on a certain country will also affect the price in a positive way , what I am trying to tell is that bitcoin price is being affected regarding on its level of significance on the world economy.

My view is that the end of 2018 will be the same as in 2017 when short-term investors panic sells and exit market. That will make the market recover, the exchange rate BTC and ETH increased rapidly thus stimulating new investors to enter the market and causing the exchange rate to multiply by the end of 2018. The high probability of BTC exchange rate will reach $ 30,000.

(just to increase paranoia :)) why do you think that people who control the world are in goverments?) Do you now who was (or were) Satoshi and what were his (their) purposes and aims?
(now more seriosly) the very idea of crypto is very progressive and future oriented, and if it is somehow controlled by any government (if any) doesn't it left to us plase to earn some profit, eh?)

Completely agree with this. TBH, I preferred a more "healthy" price growth -- like the past two months. This price increase smells like market manipulation over it. Too early to start the bull market. If memory serves, consolidation period doesn't start until the third quarter of the year.
