Title: Newbie looking for Blockchain in Pune, India
Post by: Chiwda on December 04, 2013, 07:23:21 AM
Hi!  I am a newbie and looking to get started mining bitcoins.  I understand I need to download a 6GB Blockchain, so I am looking to get one locally here in Pune.  I understand there is a member called Pinwheel who sells ASIC miners but I don't know how to contact him.  There is no link or contact information on his profile - maybe it is masked for me because I am new member.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Pinwheel - yes, there are many steps, but that Blockchain seems to run through the critical path.

BTW, how do I contact you? I am in Pune.  I have left you a private message, but have not received a reply.

Thanx!

You do not need to download the blockchain for the Electrum client. Use it for now till you get the blockchain downloaded or otherwise...once done transfer or swipe your coins to an address to the client which has the blockchain....for you to feel safe.

cheers karma

I use Multibit. It's quite secure and lightweight. No need to download the blockchain.

Using ADIC miners will give you profit as compared to CPU/GPU mining, but they are a lot costly and sometimes go out of budget. You can always find a second hand good quality ASIC miner with a good power supply. If you are ready to invest the huge amiunt then yiu can purchase some ASIC miners. You will find some good selllers in Goods and services section. But i would prefer you to invest the coins instead of purchasing a ASIC miners for trading, investing. Purchasing.a ASIC miner is also a good thought. You can also setup a solar energy farm if you are rich enough. It will help you a lot in savibg Electricity cost and also to save mother earth.
