Title: Lost in translation: "I needed the fiat"
Post by: Gabrie on December 04, 2013, 01:31:55 PM
Hi
My English is pretty good, but I can't seem to find a good explanation for "I needed the fiat". I see more references to "fiat" here in the forums and I can about guess what is meant, but not 100% sure.

So who can explain to me what "fiat" means.
(And I'm not talking about the carbrand ;-) )

I believe if you look inside your good old leather wallet you might find some "fiat":

Fiat is government issued money. Examples would be the U.S. Dollar, euro, and Japan yen.
