Title: Stablecoin opinion
Post by: ThePlanBPill on December 04, 2013, 05:23:02 PM
Hello everyone. Apparently I'm a newb so I have to post here, even though I have been lurking for like a year now. To get the posts going so that I can move to the non-newb master race forum sections I wanted to make a pretty generic post.

I wanted to know what all you guys think about Stablecoin. I mined a couple hundred the other day, and what with the sudden rise in most of the alt coins it turned out pretty lucrative. I believe my reasons are good to back SBC, but I wanted you guys to tell me yours. Seems like legitimate devs that want to make a better coin from what I read, fast transaction and confirms. Blocks every 40 seconds. I haven't seen much problem with the distribution of the coin. I think the difficulty adjust is the best thing about it. It recalculates faster than most if not all other coins to insure fair mining.

Let me know.

Feel free to bring up other coins too.

All hail the newbs

Just checked. Stablecoin is the most profitable coin to mine as of writing this post. Has been up in the top 5 for the last day or so. So my decision to switch over the other night was well met.

Notice how well the difficulty curve matches the exchange rate.

How come the value shot up so much recently though? Don't see it exchanged all that much.

When it was released it looked promising, then the developer disappeared for 5 months.  He recently came back in the last week or so claiming he was dealing with other issues in his life, and is active in the community again.  He seems intelligent has some big ideas for his coin.  Here is his profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=126619

One thing about this coin which seems promising, at least to me, is that it will use a coin mixing service which protects anonymity.

With decisions being made like the one today in China, I imagine crypto users may steer towards coins that the government cant track and induce fines on, or whatever they decide to do...

Whether or not SBC's claim that they are the most anonymous coin is true, is another story.
