I can read posts in this forum that can support the bubble argument 10 times better.
Also it's natural for that guy to think hope that way because he was writing for bitcoin since the price was 10$ and he didn't bought any  :P :P

They are right if it is the Time's circulation numbers and influence.

When will people get it? The only thing that's in a bubble is paper money.

The so called "bubbles" seem to be getting smaller.  ;D

If the price goes down then goes up higher later is that really a true bubble?  I thought real bubbles pop only to never grow again?  We have never really had a bubble that popped completely.

With Bitcoin, it's more like, "What goes down must come up."

Hmm... I don't agree. I think the price will increase further in the coming weeks.

The reason is:

Most of the early bitcoiners have made their share of "profit booking" at $1,000 levels. I don't think that unless the BTC goes above $2.5K we will see any significant selling from this segment.

On the other hand, although the initial enthusiasm from China has waned a bit, I don't think that the demand has dipped significantly.

The logic of the article is simple: when you are running up a little too fast, you will be very likely to fall hard. We'll see if this 'lemma' can apply to BTC.

It looks like the market is supporting the analysis of NYTimes.

What they'll do when Mt Gox break the $1,000 mark again in a few hours? Did they predicted that the crash will only last a few hours?

when the price is high - headline.
when the price "crashes" - headline.

in the past and in the future.

It seems that you predicted it for them and guess what. You are wrong. Nytimes prediction are ridiculous but the same applies to every bullish prediction here as well during the last 2 days.

I don't want to blame the NY Times. But did they predicted that BTC will rise from $15 to $1,000 early this year? My problem is that 99% of the predictions by the so called media experts are bearish in nature. All they want is to scare people away from BTC.

Is there anyone at all that predicted that bitcoin will rise for 15$ to 1000$ ? And kids starting "bitcoin will be 1000000000000000000000$ in 2 hours"
threads don't count  ::)

Well... I could find only one link (http://cs702.wordpress.com/2011/05/29/on-the-potential-adoption-and-price-appreciation-of-bitcoin-in-the-long-run). But I am sure that there are plenty more.
