Title: [Bounty] [I0C] I0coin website development
Post by: brooksby on December 05, 2013, 05:26:56 AM
Hi mates.  This is a critical time in crypto-currency development.  The race is on.  The coins which establish themselves as leaders now will have the advantage as new doors open in the crypto-currency economy.  Let's not let I0coin take a back seat.

A new client was an important first step thanks to 'rsnel' (http://i0coin.snel.it/).  rsnel is content with just being the lead client developer and letting someone else handle the web site design and management.

Next we need to get a professional looking website on par with other leading crypto-currencies.  Below are the current bounties.  More bounties are welcome!

Name           Bounty
brooksby      15,000 I0C
(your name here)

Requirements for claiming bounties:
- Develop and manage a professional looking website
- Standardize the URL (i0coin.org, i0coin.com, etc.)
- Provide catchy home page and I0coin description targeting the general public
- Provide latest I0coin client downloads for major platforms (Windows, Linux, MAC)
- Support major languages (English, Chinese, Russian, German, etc.)
- Provide latest I0coin news
- Provide a Forum
- Provide FAQ's or wiki
- Provide links to shopping and services as they become available

The languages I listed are not necessarily in order of the most used.  Does anyone have data on who uses crypto-currencies the most, by language?  I would assume English, then Chinese, but after that I don't know.

I could make this happen as I have extensive Web Development experience. Just wondering a couple of things - are you providing the translations and are you flexible on the payment?

Sorry, I don't have enough knowledge of non-English languages to help with translations.  I would expect an English version would be the baseline.  Then we would need to employ someone to translate if you can't yourself.

Be more specific on 'flexible payment'.  I was hoping for others to add bounties, but nothing yet.  How much were you looking for?

That sounds reasonable, I can do the English version and we can go from there. Also, regarding the payment, do you think 15k is reasonable? I personally think the results will be more than worth it, but then again I'm a bit biased aren't I? ;)

OK, I will raise my bounty to 15,000 I0C.

Then you can consider this done  8)

How can I communicate with you to ensure that we're on the same page at all times?

Working on this as we speak. I'll let brooksby make any announcements once finalized.

Still looking for ideas on the most important languages to support.

Looking forward to seeing the new website.

Getting close to giving you a first look at the English version.  Probably in a few days.

Maybe I should get some I0coin before everyone jumps in.  Price is still low compared to other coins.  It may start to move once the website is online.

I need some information to post on the website.

Is there a block explorer for I0coin?

What pools mine I0coin besides bitparking?

http://i0coin.bitparking.com/

The block explorer on the bitparking link above no longer works.  I haven't found a new one yet.

I'm still working on the website development.  It's been a bit slower going than planned.  I'm on my third web developer.  Hopefully, the third time's a charm :-)
