  I recently got a Lancelot FPGA for mining bitcoins but after:

Installing the driver: got the MAC version from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm all 2.2.18
Rebooting: Just to be sure that everything works.
Launch Asteroid: I prefer this client, it is cgminer based and is open source

Upon launching the client, it told me that drivers are conflicting so I disable them as it advised. But then I can't find my Lancelot from it but only my GPUs which are running at crap speed of 31.xx MH/S.

Then I rebooted and use cgminer instead, it says that it didn't find any USB devices and my Lancelot doesn't have the TX and RX lights flashing.

I am running OSX 10.9 Mavericks and installed the drive for the newest OSX possible, which is for 10.7 I think but it is already the latest.

Sounds logical to me that you don't find your FPGA with disabled drivers. I guess you need to find the right driver for this. Maybe try the Butterfly Labs page, they have the link to a USB/Serial Driver that works under Mavericks.

For what it's worth, Asteroid re-enables those drivers when the program is quit.  It just temporarily disables them while Asteroid is running.

I don't have any experience with the Lancelot FPGA myself, although I did see your feedback report and logs come in yesterday.  From the report I couldn't see anything amiss, meaning that the problem starts somewhere before Asteroid/cgminer even starts -- likely a driver issue.

If/when you try Asteroid again, try clicking "Ignore" instead of "Temporarily disable conflicting drivers...", as perhaps Asteroid is incorrectly guessing that you don't need them.  There's a few drivers you could try, the built-in Mavericks FTDI driver installed on all Mavericks computers by default or the FTDI drivers you downloaded, but past that I'm not sure.  May have to try some googling to see what people did for that device and what kind of USB controller it uses.
