Title: Attention. It is important.
Post by: Judster on May 06, 2018, 12:30:45 PM
I want to remind all newcomers there is a new kind of fraud. You can see an example of comments on the link.

The first post is true and the original news. And all the other comments are the scam. No one ever conducts such a "giving away". Be careful. Do not transfer your money to anyone. Good luck. And be richer.

Thanks for the warning.
Do not fall into those traps. I know all of us wants to be rich but we need to work hard for this.
Do not trust any give away kind of post.
They are ruining this community and I hate them.

Scams like this aren't new at all. They also seem to be more common nowadays, with more and more people falling for them.

If a giveaway asks for a fee, it's a scam. There are no exceptions to this rule, no matter how many accounts say they received whatever it is that is being given away.

Yes, there are plenty of scams out there, especially in crypto.
One type that is quite hard to spot is the unicode url phishing scam, which can be very convincing.
There's a good article about it here: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/apr/19/phishing-url-trick-hackers

Newbies should take it as a rule that paying to get an airdrop does not even make it as an airdrop and services like this that claim to double or even 10x your money are Total Scam. Such similar programs fall under the category of Ponzi and Hypes which are 100% scam and have been known for years.
