Title: Cryptsy & Pending Withdrawals
Post by: brassmonk on December 05, 2013, 10:26:14 PM
Is anyone else having to wait an exorbitant amount of time for their withdrawals to initiate from Cryptsy?  I traded there and ended up with some Litecoin which I want to transfer to another exchange as I saw I could sell it for a profit there and repurchase some BTC.  The problem is, Cryptsy is stuck saying "Pending" on the withdrawal and has been for over 4 hours now.  It's quite irritating as the idea here, especially for LTC, are fast transaction times.  Anyway, anyone else have this problem (and yes, I was sure that I clicked on the authorization e-mail).  I know their site has been slow lately for trades, I guess this is now being extended to transfers?  I'm not quite sure I understand why though.  Thanks!

Just in case anyone is in the same boat, it took five and a half hours, but finally it was processed.

Yes cryptsy was having quite a bit of trouble. Some users have even reported having 60btc deposited into their accounts that was not there's. Thankfully they returned the coins though im sure there are others who haven't.

According to cryptsy's twitter feed they have fixed the website.

Same here. It's rare though.

There have been spikes in demand and they are over capacity.

I've also had this, you just have to wait for a while. It can be annoying though.

The waiting times can be frustrating but the longest I've had to wait is about an hour - more than 5 hours is a joke!

Yeah well im not afraid it will go wrong but time = money and there is the issue. In my case I want to go form one exchange to the other to trade it there.

If it would be my own wallet it should go to I don't mind waiting 3 days.

Cryptsy are the good guys, don't worry about that. They have massive lag sometimes, and the server audit is a bit behind, but that is usually fixed within a day or two tops. Ofcourse i was a bit scared at first when i transferred 4 BTC or so. Not seeing even a breadcrumb of that transaction didn't help me not one bit ;) but a couple of e-mails later i've found out that there is nothing to be worried about, and everything will be fine... eventually

I have to say fuck CRYPTSY TOO, when I withdrew a little coins, I got the coins very soon (within 10 minutes). But second time I tried to withdraw a huge amount coins, the order was pending.

Title: Re: Cryptsy & Pending Withdrawals
Post by: nxtbitcoiner on January 14, 2014, 08:50:19 AM
I have noticed some problems with cryptsy too, especially with the double order error, that is really unfortunate. They knowing that the order was automatically doubled should automatically give a refund. Cryptsy is a shitty service because they haven't fixed all the bugs and it lags etc.

Also, not sure if this was on this post but someone was talking about how they couldn't withdraw from cryptsy, I beleive it is because they are not paying a high transaction fee, or wait for transactions to add up before they send it.
it is easier to just withdraw in another coin, maybe asic coin or something end then convert to btc after. Not always the best option for sure.  :(

I was also in negative balance on Cryptsy (may God rape their incompetent souls).
But with the remaining LTC I bought DOGE and DOGE nearly doubled.
I bought back the negative BTC and then bought back DOGE again.
I ended up with nearly 250K. My withdraw is now "pending" for hours.

If and when I receive my DOGE in my wallet, I'll be able to say I'm happy
Cryptsy fucked up my account. However, I will never use their services again.
They are thoroughly incompetent, dishonest and possibly scamming.

Since Gox going down ... the other exchanges are picking up a lot of volume.

Gox is for btc/fiat trading (with terrible delays in USD withdrawal for months).
Cryptsy is for btc/altcoins trading.

I don't think the two things are directly related.
Plus, OP made this thread in early Dec lol :D

24 hours now for a pending withdrawal of 250 mil tips.

30 mins previous 20mil tips went through in 5 mins as a test before the larger one.

All I got from support was, it has been authorised, please be patient.

Useless and makes me think they don't actually have the coins hence the delay.

but as for me almost everytime its been solved within 48 Hrs
only with CENTs they are fucking slow may be they are also waiting to get wallet fixed
I do got negative balance sometime mid dec, but was fixed after audit, It happend when there is some problem or pending logs on audit
try to contact with support as much as i know they will try to solve.

I am not supporter of Cryptsy i am just a trader as all of us i am sharing all this of my personal experience and could differ from others

Thats right - usually they solve this problem within 48 hours but the last one I was so angry as I tried to withdraw my 0.5 Btc and I could not !

Later the btc was crushing a little..
After this experience I turned my back on btc for a while and sold everything.
Now, a friend of mine told me about a new coin called "NEM" and its opportunities. So I'm back (again) ;D

Sold my 7 nmc to btc, then transferred all of it excluding the fees.

The only things is that, deposits take awhile to see and then payout as as well. But as long its delivered  :D

My NXT withdrawal at Cryptsy failed. No TrxID. But the coins were removed from my Cryptsy account, and never showed up in my NXT blockchain wallet. No response from tech support in over a week. No way to contact them except with a support ticket, which is simply ignored.

Thanks!

I know sometimes it takes a day..
If you haven't got it, contact them

It's been 12 days, and no response from tier 2 tech support.
Is there any other way to contact them?

Holy cow, really? I had to wait for a withdrawal for a couple of hours before, as well. But 12 days and you've already contacted the tech support? That doesn't sound good. Does anyone else have problems withdrawing their coins currently, as well?

May be you can try to send a PM to BitJohn, a staff of cryptsy. Profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=110699

I've had a few delays before when withdrawing coins from Cryptsy, always got them in the end but it is frustrating when you're not sure when you're going to get them.

Yesterday my withdrawals where processed but getting there and talking to the service was a true nightmare.
It turns out they flag ones account for various reasons such as, doesn't have 2FA enabled, withdraws to a different address then before, withdrawal is over a certain amount, uses Tor and so on. Then things just don't process any more and one has to wait, talk, wait, wait, wait, talk send pics and so on and so on.

I believe they are honest people who are under attack from many different parties but I believe they need to completely transparent about when they flag accounts in advance and tell users immediately how they can get their funds.

I just sent 32.xx BTC from my CRYPTSY account.  It has been nearly 45 minutes so far.

What the hell is going on!  They better not be holding my BTC because I turned off the authen (changed phones)..

This is retarded.

I do not need to be that patient.  I have never had a transaction take longer then 3 minutes to show up on Blockchain.

Why would this one take longer?  That is the problem.  Worse, they have absolutely no support.  Their ticket system is a joke, as documented on this very forum.

You may enjoy waiting around for a transaction to get going, I prefer for it to be done in a reasonable amount of time.  45 minutes in, still not showing up on Blockchain.

This is happening to me too! I have been waiting over 24 hours, still showing my withdrawal as pending.

This is the response from support:

"Thank you for contacting us about this issue.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We are experiencing a delay when it comes to processing BTC withdrawal transactions. Our technical team is working hard to get the withdrawals moving as fast as they can. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this matter."

Exactly. Sure you want it to be instant, but makign such a thread after just 45 minutes.. like really?

Just wait for a few hours and then make a ticket...

Yeah take a chill pill. 45 minutes.
I know cryptsy bashing is hot these days, but at least be decent and give them a normal timeframe to resolve their problems.

Yes, I'm with a BTC withdraw stuck for more than 5 hours now. After read this thread I don't think the problem will be solved in less than 36 hours, considering that today is Saturday

I think the headache is not worth the arbitrage profit you may get with the withdraw

Did you note when that post was written? Things around Cryptsy have changed considerably since then and much of the bashing is warranted.

Yes, they suck and delay withdraws since 2013, but they are around since them, so chances are they won't implode right now.

At least we are in bear market, so delays will work in our favor

To whom it may concern:

Cryptsy is insolvent since november

They let people withdraw only very little btc/ltc amounts (with a week or so of delay) or doge, for a 35% loss.

And they are silently banning from the chat people posing question, and didn't put any banner to advice people nor gave any information, they only keep claiming that the " technical issue" will be resolved.

Verified accounts are not privileged any more.
You have to wait just like all the other people. I know it is wrong, because they got our ID's etc. but you should have withdrawn your money way faster.
This threads are here since 1 month already.

I had 2 withdrawals.
The one under 0.25 BTC went away within a few hours
The one above 0.25 BTC is still seeking approval.

Maybe this can help someone.
