Title: Guiminer-scrypt issues
Post by: venerati on December 06, 2013, 04:49:47 AM
Hello,

I had set up a miner and had it running well and dandy. Well after some reading I realized that my Radeon card would out hash my nvidia card so I swapped them. This is were the issue comes into play. now that the new card is in with proper drivers I cannot get guiminer to start mining again. the device is [0-0] Barts, I select the correct GPU Defaults as 6870, click start and it hangs. It will after some time give me a popup "cgminer.exe has stopped working" I close it and the guiminer window is still sitting there. Any ideas?

This is what I have attempted.

1.uninstalled the latest drivers.
2.installed SDK2 and the 1.34 drivers
3.backed the card down to default speeds
4.set card defaults to much older cards
5.uninstalled guiminer and the config file from AppData

Specs:
Old card that worked: Nvidia 460
new card: Radeon 6870
OS: Win7 x64

Any ideas would be a great help.Thanks

I think AMD SDK didn't installed properly? Can you find amdocl.dll and opencl.dll in C:\windows\sysWOW64 and post version of this files?

amdocl.dll = 10.0.1124.2

OpenCL.dll = 1.2.11.0
