Title: is powercolor hd5850 pcs+ better than sapphire hd5850 xtreme?

is powercolor hd5850 pcs+ better than sapphire hd5850 xtreme? for mining usage?

because hd5850 pcs+ seems to have higher core speed

anyone use before has any idea?

If you overclock it the initial core speed doesn't matter..... I would guess that the Sapphire Xtreme has a better cooler though; my experience is that Sapphire has better quality control and overall products on average too.

ohh ok , it appear the powercolor pcs+ seems more expensive so with higher clocks, so for a while i thought it was better haha

While I haven't used any type of 5850 card, I have two Sapphire 5830 xtremes and their cooling ability and exceptional overclock potential (I got over 20% past stock core frequency with each card @ stock voltage) have made them great cards for my mining setup. I suspect the 5850 xtreme cards are very similar.

I recall reading a post a long time ago warning against powercolor cards. Don't remember what the issue was though.
