OP is probably going to steal your identity guys, so avoid sending him anything. There are more reputable people who can fund your loans without them asking your ID which they could steal.

Dude asking for ID, or using somebody's ID is even illegal. If I ever give you my Id it will be like selling it to you.

Asking for ID isnt illegal, but using it for the wrong reasons are. When dealing with anyone over the internet, its never wise to send them your ID unless you trust them completely. They should have something setup to secure the documents received to prevent leakage or abuse of it. This is why some services use a third party to securely store and validate an ID, whether if its a government issued id, passport, etc. They have the tools and resources to secure everything, and they can be to blame if something happens such as a breach or abuse of information vs the individual.

In regards to this topic, I would not trust OP with anything such as an ID. Send at your own risk and just because someone claimed to have sent the info to OP doesnt mean its true or it could just be a way for OP to try to lure others into a trap, so proceed with EXTREME caution. To OP, legit or not, if you really are accepting ID, then you are in a world of hurt because people can fake such documents easily and you can be at a loss. However, it is your risk you have to take if this is even real (which I do not believe it is).

If people insist on sending a stranger their ID (sketchy af), at minimum, watermark the images so at least they'll be tougher to re-use if the person is selling the ID's or using them later

If the OP is legit, they should have no issue with watermarked images.

Sites like https://www.watermark.ws/ for people without photoshop etc to add their own watermarks.

It depends, if I loan a friend in USA and I'm in/from the USA - with a contract or binding agreement between us, you can enforce it.
