My estimation for the lowest bottom in this bubble is $450-$495, it will be very difficult to break this. This floor was already tested 3 weeks ago a COUPLE of times but failed.

 If it indeed breaks this, in that case we are looking at a massive "panic" sell which means alot of holders who bought at $1000 will give up on Bitcoin for now. It will dive lower but it's pretty much impossible for it to break $250 which is April's all time high (below that this means early holders also dumped most of their stash and bitcoin is doomed for the near future)

These are my thoughts, call the bottom here !

I really don't know... It could be 400-500$, but we need to wait USA wakes up after this bad night. if they drunk too much this night, the things could be really unprediclables

We already hit the bottom if we hold at 650+ for a little longer i think.

it might seem too high with the current doom and gloom environment, but there is just too much money invested it Bitcoin compared to previous bubbles. Also keep in mind alot of ppl are looking to rebuy in rather than cash out USD, ppl appreciate Bitcoin's value alot more compared to before.

I would personally love to see lower to buy in cheaper, but it seems unlikely.

I'm getting the feeling is that 576 USD is about as low it would go... at least for mtgox. It could hit 1000 by the end of the year again too (but I rather see it stabilize somewhere in the region of 600-800 than oscillate).

On each of the previous three boom bust cycles the low has always been between 2 and 2.5 times the previous peak. This gives a low this time around of 540 to 670 (2 - 2.5 x 270) which is pretty much exactly what we are seeing. Anything below 500 is unlikely and would be  an excellent buy.

That was both clever and possibly accurate.

Honestly, I think we'll see it get to as low as $500 USD sheerly because of the psychological factor of a nice number (just as we started hitting walls at around ~$100 and ~$1000). As to how long it stays there, and whether it returns to peak levels that is really anyone's guess.

Based on history (!!!) the next cycle will occur sometime in the next 6-18 months (probably closer to 6 than 18) with a rise to 5-10 k and a subsequent fallback to 2.5 to 3k.

Bottom is in now. It will rise now and new people will get confidence and buy more coins making it shoot to 10k before january 1st ( last bit is wishful thinking ;-) )

I think the bottom will be between 10 - 10000 dollars this year.

1,242 / 266 * 50 ~= 233. Based on the current look of the market, between 200$ and 300$, and it will take several days to reach it.
Of course, if the market will look a lot different tomorrow, this estimate won't hold. It's simply too early to call the bottom.

It took less coins to cause this panic than the drop from 900-450 with a slightly better drop.  Said person has been continuously dropping a nice round hundred every 10 minutes trying to keep the bars of blood coming, but I think we already found a rough bottom with a sparkly top waiting to be breached again.. sideways for now and a slight manip. dip in the short term while the market decides if they are going to get the ledgendary 100$ coin.

Also, to add, it's not going to be $1000 anytime soon. Confidence is low, fear is up. We're in a downward trend! Those that think we're going to hit $1000 are in denial or simply having a laugh.

For me the real bottom is the price before the china hype and especially before the baidu hype. People that bought big then will sell sooner or later.

look at march april. it tok about 3 weeks for the bull move to the top starting in march, the same amount of time approx starting in november.

in april the crash took 7 days of consecutive red bars. we are in day 3 at the mo, so about halfway. i predicts we hit bottom next wednesday and the bottom will be 224.

This bubble is totally different. Many things have changed since April. If you look at the April bubble there was one top - here we have two. In my humble opinion this changes the dynamic of the fall. I would say that the upward trend changed more than 3 days ago, which throws your calculation out significantly I believe.

Infinitely wrong, the crash in April was due to a blockchain fork and Mt Gox's 8 hours of lag and inability to login which put out limitless fear.  Without something major like another fork, or the us military saying they are going to unleash marshal law on bitcoin supporters... 50% retrace is what you get.  Sorry the bottom for you is in Oct, your now in the company of those that are waiting for the bottom from January and added to those that are waiting from the bottom last summer.

I don't think there is a more safe bet for a false prediction than to look previous crashes and try to apply them today without having a clue about what caused each crash.

If my calculations are correct, we're going to see some serious shit.

Testing the upper resistance of 700-750, unless some good news comes out soon I expect we'll be bouncing off and then we could see levels at $400 or below by Monday.

Or perhaps not nearly as much money left the market for good as you assume. And if that's the case, there are 2 reasons that channel might not sustain. A) new money coming in next week. B) money sitting on the sidelines waiting for lower prices. Over 100 million of it across the exchanges in fact.

It will take for a while for new money to come in right now. The shock for a 50% flash crash was huge. Right now for outsiders bitcoin equals volatility.

Lots of new players, and the legislation in Canada has been somewhat favorable so far. I'm still waiting to see definitive tax laws regarding how mining income will be regarded. If I have receipts for $20,000 worth of mining equipment, can I write that off against taking withdrawls out of cavirtex?
