Today is my birthday and i'm all alone.

I truly believe the potential for happiness is with us always, but that, in your case, it might simply be covered up.  It's kind of like how the sun is always shining, even on a cloudy day, but you just can't always see it because sometimes the clouds are so dense.  But, if you concentrate hard enough, you can still feel its warmth and see the light shining through, making everything around you grow.

My advice -- try to establish hope in SOMETHING.  Even if your life sucks, maybe someone else can still benefit from you being alive.  Make someone smile; find a purpose; do something that gives even a tiny bit more significance to your life here.

Suicide is irreversible.  I know that is stating the obvious, but think of it this way: if you choose suicide today, and tomorrow life would have changed for the better, you've made the wrong choice.  If you choose to wait to see what tomorrow brings, you've lost nothing, as suicide is always still available.  Waiting to commit suicide is always the best logical choice.

I wish people who want to commit suicide would spend some time doing something adventurous or dangerous instead. Try sky diving or take some adventurous trip somewhere. Hop on a boat and become a stow away. Buy and sell stuff on the black market. There are lots of things to do.

If you really do have ED then there is probably something wrong with your body which would also lead to depression so you wouldn't be able to enjoy the things I listed above. You know the sperm counts in Western Europe and the USA have fallen 87% in the last 50 years and most of that happened in the last 30 years. Try moving somewhere else and completely abandoning the customs of the country that you came from.

It's probably the other way around. Depression can frequently lead to loss of interest in sex and other sexual problems, none of which are technically physical problems.

I actually see these symptoms of depression as 'direction signs' so to speak.  It seems to me that many people who are depressed may think, "If only I could get more motivation to go out in public more...to have more sexual desire...to be interested in the things I used to be...etc...then I wouldn't be depressed."  In my view, these symptoms are actually the mind's defensive response against the mental illness, just like a fever is a body's defensive response against a physical illness.  In other words, I think the mind is already taking care of certain things for you, and that actually, the lack of sexual desire, lack of motivation, lack of social efficacy, etc. are useful in that they lead the person to the root of the problem.  I think that instead of trying to immediately try to seek these things again, the depressed person should spend time with themselves to learn more about themselves and to reflect upon their lifestyle; to find what it is that truly makes a person happy.  Specifically, what makes a person happy are the things that are intrinsically beneficial -- the things that the more you have of them, the more your happiness grows.  This is not true for extrinsically beneficial things.  The more money, fame, fortune, possessions, drugs, etc. you have, you do not become exponentially happier.  But things like love, wisdom, contentment, humility, etc. -- the more of these a person has, the happier they become.  People often try to drown their sorrows in a drink, by surrounding themselves with tons of people in a social environment, by buying a new car, but all of these things lead the person away from the solution for happiness.  That is why I think the symptoms of depression are actually a good thing if one assesses them with deeper insight.  Your mind is telling you not to pay attention to these things, because are things that are far more important.

Physical vs. Mental problem is a false dichotomy.  In the example you gave, your (mental) choice to go on specific drug can lead to ED and depression (which obviously both lead to certain mental and physical states).  Mental and physical problems are linked inseparably.  Nature vs. Nurture (or genes vs. environment) is another example of a false dichotomy.

An environmentally induced chemical problem (and the lethal poison) wouldn't be a problem if you didn't mentally identify dying or the physical consequences as a problem.  A problem is defined by a subject.  If a subject doesn't define it as a problem, it's not a problem.
