What are the main differences between bitcoin and bitcoincash?

First original, second replica. In fact, I think that bitcoin is in the first place, only because it is the most popular "brand" of cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin cash is a fork coin and it came from bitcoin.

Bitcoin isn't centralized while bitcoin cash is centralized. And bitcoin cash devs are calling bitcoin as "core bitcoin" so they are bringing confusion to the community.

Bitcoin cash has a faster block compared with bitcoin but it has less adoption rather than real bitcoin. Read this news https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinmarketcap-quietly-removes-bch-promoting-bitcoincom-from-its-btc-page
The only main difference of bitcoin and bitcoin cash is only on the block time and adoption.
This time bitcoin adopt segwit protocol that makes the fees is the same as bitcoin cash.

Thank you for sharing this news. there is certainly a big confusion between these two coins which has resulted in this lawsuit.

???The more MB in the block , the less secures it becomes?
More Block is have advantage and disadvantage

Advantage: More blocks will result more data to process for each transaction " more transactions are able to be processed and transaction costs will be cheaper "

Disadvantage: There will be a safety issue because at this speed the possibility of crashing will increase but BitcoinCash is aware of its and added protection adjustments

On basic issues Bitcoin is the crypto pioneer and Bitcoincash is just a fork derived from Bitcoin modified and optimized to match the high transaction indices. Bitcoin now accounts for more than 30% of daily trade and this means 7 Billion Dollars every day, with Bitcoincash accounting for 7 times less than its trade, this does not mean that Bitcoincash is bad just means it's behind Bitcoin, without more or less.

No matter how many forks and clones come out, Bitcoin will remain the king, all these forks are nothing more than alts, bitcoincash has big market cap and hype due to the fact that it is backed by a billionaire who is spending big to market it and attract big volumes, he is presenting it as the real bitcoin which is not correct, i think btc developers should take action against bch for claiming it as btc.

BTC is a legacy chain and BCH was created to be used in its place. Its as if when the ETH fork happened in 2016 and everyone stayed on ETC. The inherent scalability issues cannot be ignored. BCH is better in every way save for adoption.

To this source about bitcoincash:

Bitcoin cash is a cryptocurrency created in August 2017, arising from a fork of Bitcoin Classic. Bitcoin Cash increases the size of blocks, allowing more transactions to be processed.

Read more: Bitcoin Cash Definition | https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bitcoin-cash.asp

Which simply means this is just a forked coin came from bitcoin itself where i dont see a reason why it would need for it to be competed to each other.

Less security in btc cash, not in vain satoshi laid the block in one MB.
The block size is the main difference now, but going forward there will be more changes between the two as both their scaling situations are entirely different. Satoshi laid the cap as one MB because it was just the initial stages and if you look what he says in the initial papers it was not having any limit and if he was active i am sure not what he will be doing to counter the scaling issue.

They are both in the same platform but bitcoin is ahead than bitcoincash. Bitcoincash is just a fork or split of bitcoin, it only rely on bitcoin price if stable or not. If bitcoin's price is not stable then the bitcoincash already do and likewise when bitcoin is pumping. Bitcoin has the higher value than bitcoincash, that's why i prefer bitcoin.

I totally agree with you when you say that bitcoin is the foundation of cryptocurrency, How do you picture the future of Bitcoin Cash?
I picture the future of bitcoin cash, one day it will go down as many of its investors were just fooled by informing them that bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin.

But those investors that invested to the wrong coin will eventually go back to the foundation of crypto which is bitcoin and will sell their bitcoin cash.

One of the differences is that Bitcoin has much greater security and stability, as there is more mining support and infrastructure behind it -  Bitcoin currently has around 10x more full nodes than Bitcoin Cash, and thus a much more distributed network.

Bitcoin Cash uses a different hash algorithm to the one Bitcoin uses. So, the replay between the two chains is no longer possible. Furthermore, a new algorithm which ensures normal chain work in case of dramatic changes of the number of miners provides additional stability to the currency as a whole.

Bitcoin is the original and best, it's the one that will hold the most value in the long term. Others like bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, bitcoin diamond, etc.. these are all forks i.e copies. some are more successful than others, but none are worth major investments.

Title: Re: bitcoin VS bitcoincash
Post by: stasiulman on May 12, 2018, 09:58:41 AM
The main Bitcoin is now supported by many financial institutions, in some countries it has already been accepted as an additional currency. Bitcoin Cash will not disappear either. Due to the large dimensions of the blocks, it has better technical potential. Therefore, it will not be surprising if the course of this coin will grow and, as a result, will be equal to Bitcoin. The main advantage of Bitcoin Cash is "fast" transactions. The block size is increased to 8MB. Because of this, the commission remains at the early levels of development of crypto currency - up to $ 0.1.

Title: Re: bitcoin VS bitcoincash
Post by: Sigmund King on May 13, 2018, 12:04:53 PM
I think they are very different. Bitcoin has lots of mining pools, so no one is strong enough and a situation where a single miner has a majority of 51% to rule them all is quite impossible. Bitcoin Cash, on contrary, is highly centralised. Right now we already have 3 mining pools that make more than 51% together. This can be a dangerous situation because the future of the currency becomes too reliant on these three.

Title: Re: bitcoin VS bitcoincash
Post by: Dominic_King on May 14, 2018, 10:08:31 AM
Bitcoin Cash will tend to have lower fees when both networks are loaded with transactions, but Bitcoin Cash also doesn't have as much community acceptance, so there are fewer wallets and exchanges supporting it compared to Bitcoin.

Title: Re: bitcoin VS bitcoincash
Post by: Dominic_King on May 18, 2018, 10:51:23 AM
Compared to Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash added protection adjustments to close these gaps and make the new currency safer for all to use. First, Bitcoin Cash’s technology allows for an increase in the number of blocks. Right now it is 8MB and further increases are possible. Second, Bitcoin Cash has a different transaction signature to verify its distinction from Bitcoin.

What are the main differences between bitcoin and bitcoincash?

On 15 May 2018, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is undergoing a hard fork, This guide explains how this coin came into existence, what this fork means, why it is being done, and what the effects it will have.

As you probably already know, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) started its life on 1 August 2017 as a hard fork of Bitcoin (BTC). The idea was to create a new cryptocurrency (BCH) based on the same basic ideas as BTC but with an adjustable maximum block size rather than a fixed (1MB) maximum block size. At that time, it was decided that a maximum block size of 8MB would result in a significant increase in the number of transactions that could be processed by the ledger. The larger block size would also mean that transaction fees would be lower. The first (and still most popular) implementation of the BCH protocol was called Bitcoin ABC; "ABC" stands for Adjustable Blocksize Cap. Before the hard fork happened, two other implementations of the BCH protocol had been completed: Bitcoin Unlimited and Bitcoin XT.

Everyone who held BTC coins at the time of the hard fork (1 August 2017) received an equal number of the new BCH coins. However, this hard fork that is taking place on 15 May 2018 is different in that for users it will look like a soft fork, which means that if you are a holder of BCH, contrary to what you may have heard/read elsewhere, you won't be receiving any new coins.

When BCH hard forks on May 15th, there will be two separate chains, but only the new chain will have any economic value. The old chain will become obsolete and will no longer be accepted by crypto exchanges. However, because the term "hard fork" often suggests that there was some disagreement in the community that could not be resolved, the BCH community is using the term "upgrade" for what will be taking on place on May 15th. And indeed, there will be an upgrade because new features are being added to the protocol.

The May 15th upgrade was first proposed when BCH developers met in London in November 2017 to discuss how to improve the scalability of BCH even further so that it would be better prepared, as a form of payment, for global adoption. There are three main changes:

    ● the maximum block size is being increased from 8MB to 32MB so that more transactions can fit in each block, which leads to more transactions per second (around 224) and even lower transaction fees (since there will be less competition to fit transactions into these larger blocks);
    ● several Bitcoin script operation code (op codes) are being added/reactivated so that we can have the possibility of creating very simple smart contracts; and
    ● the OP_RETURN data carrier size is being increased from 80 bytes to 220 bytes, which allows for tokenization or creation of "colored coins" (kind of like ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain) that can be used for tracking real-world assets -- such as gold, real estate, bonds, stocks -- or even virtual assets such as CryptoKitties.

The main change that holders of BCH may notice after the upgrade is that Memo, the decentralized social network built on the BCH blockchain, will probably be updated soon so that it supports messages longer than 75 characters.

Nailed it, it's not the solution to increase the block size for scaling issues your just going to make a coin more centralized controlled by small group of people who can load that kind of block size, bitcoin is the original, BCH pretends to be the one claiming that they are the real bitcoin the fact that it is just a fork from the one and only original bitcoin, supreme adoption is still a thing for bitcoin.

If you want to buy the first ico you have to see if ico is there its market. If there is already a market means ico is already running.
Both may be in terms of market prices, not when we buy high prices and time to sell cheap price.
Third, you also must be good at choosing the project where the purchase, not to fail the project later ico is not sold.

Bitcoin Cash exists because of hard fork, with hard fork developers agreeing that it will change all systems of the first coin (in this case we call bitcoin). Usually hard fork happens because of the number of new users who come, to cause slowness of the coin, then to overcome it developers will take another step to make the coin is still support the number of users.

C'mon don't you think that it's no needed to compare between this two cryptocurrencies? Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency world, the first cryptocurrency in the world and it's also the first cryptocurrency can be used to buy real stuff while Bitcoin Cash is just a child of Bitcoin, it was created by Bitcoin hardfork, although Bitcoin Cash price is also really high but it'll never being can reach to the high price as Bitcoin :)

bitcoin is central, the main coin became a reference of all the coins. bitcoin has many enthusiasts and good for investment. bitcoin cash coin is a duplicate who want to be like the bitcoin, however, it will never be realized. because what is bitcoin owned cash different than what exists on the bitcoin. :)

Specialists on crypto currency believe that in the future the original bitcoin will develop faster than fork. This will mean that bitcoin for a long time will be a more attractive object for investors than Bitcoin Cash. But if a sufficient number of miners and stock exchanges pay attention to the new crypto currency, then its development will also be rapid.

What are the main differences between bitcoin and bitcoincash?

Bitcoin's goal is to reduce world inflation. With so many people investing money into Bitcoin, the price is soaring. While Bitcoin Cash is a piece that can not be validated. The purpose of Bitcoin Cash is published so that virtual money transactions are still running even if there is something that can not be validated.

Bitcoin is king and Bitcoincash is PAWN! Lolz.

Thats the difference between them for me and I dont wanna go in much detail as the comparison is really vain here.  :D

Majorly bitcoin is first algorithm that was formed and copying the code from the same tech they forked BCH with little changes in it so that they can scale it up and do more transactions or be faster ! But really that doesn't matter these days as BTC still stands as king. Thats why I said difference doesn't matter here. Who agrees with me !  ::)

Both of them have a high level of security. It's just that with the existence of hard fork or block that can not be validated in Bitcoin, of course safer Bitcoin Cash. The evidence shows that Bitcoin still has a gap. It also indicates that the Bitcoin block is unstable. Unlike the Bitcoin Cash that does not need to worry about the hard fork or any disturbance. Usually, when Bitcoin is experiencing hard fork, the transaction will be paused. Well, here's where Bitcoin Cash comes in to support it.

Block size in Bitcoin tends to be smaller. Because the number is very limited. Unlike the recently published Bitcoin Cash. If the mined Bitcoin only holds 1 MB, the size of Bitcoin Cash is bigger, ie 8 MB.

Bitcoin doesn't have some lunatic named Roger Ver trying to shove it down people's throats in questionable ways. Bitcoin was first. BitcoinCash is just a copy that is largely unnecessary with all of the other altcoins out there.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the result of a bitcoin fork. It is extremely similar in many ways to Bitcoin (BTC), but Bitcoin Cash has a few technical differences that make a big impact. One of the biggest differences, which has many significant follow-on effects, is the difference in block size. Bitcoin has a 1MB block size, while Bitcoin Cash has an 8MB block size. A larger block size is good news in that it helps process transactions a lot faster, but it also means a full node takes up a lot more data storage space.

I think the biggest difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is mining algorithms. At its inception, Bitcoin Cash had an easier mining algorithm. An easier mining algorithm was deemed to be necessary for BCH to keep a competitive edge against the more-valuable bitcoin and to attract the miners needed to run the network.

Bitcoin Cash was deliberately split away from Bitcoin by a team that thought high fees and slow transactions would eventually destroy Bitcoin. It was deliberately designed to essentially be Bitcoin, except easy to send, receive and transact with. Hence the “cash” part of its name. It was designed to be the spending money next to Bitcoin’s gold.

Bitcoin Cash has cheaper transfer fees (around $0.20 per transaction), so making transactions in BCH will save you more money than using BTC. A BTC transaction can cost around $1 USD per transaction, although it previously went up to around $25 per transaction.

BCH has faster transfer times. So, you don’t have to wait the 10 minutes it takes to verify a Bitcoin transaction. Moreover, BCH can handle more transactions per second. This means that more people can use BCH at the same time than they can with BTC.

The main advantage of Bitcoin Cash is that it is cheaper and faster to use. This is because it is more scalable, meaning that more people can transact on the blockchain at any given time.

I think Bitcoin Cash is cheaper to move around between exchanges. Whenever its price surges, it is a great trading asset against Bitcoin and a solid investment to hedge against Bitcoin, should Bitcoin lose its market dominance one day.

Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are not the same cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency world and Bitcoin Cash is just a child of Bitcoin. It was created by Bitcoin hardfork. I think the main difference is the block size. Bitcoin is still stuck with 1 MB max size per block, while Bitcoin Cash has the same capped at 8 MB. Maybe it will be 32 MB by increasing. Bitcoin is decentralized while Bitcoin Cash is centralized coin. Bitcoin is more secure than Bitcoin Cash.

The disadvantages of Bitcoin when compared to Bitcoin Cash mainly regard the scalability issues facing Bitcoin. Bitcoin is older, slower and costs a lot more per transaction. It is likely that as the sector grows, Bitcoin will continue to lose its dominance to these other coins.

Why we need BitcoinCash, BitcoinGold, BitcoinDiamond, BitcoinAtom?
Faster and cheaper transactions  than Bitcoin, but who cares? They are useful, nobody will use them, because they have no value, no real use.

I think the difference is that bitcoin was created earlier and more interested than bitcoincash. As well as the striking difference is the higher bitcoin value of bitcoincash.

What makes them different is that Bitcoin Cash has a block size limit of 8 MB — eight times more than Bitcoin. This allows it to process more transactions per day, speed up processing times, and reduce fees. Their transaction fees are much cheaper when compared to those of its rival. But they will increase once more people start using the currency.

Bitcoin has much greater security and stability, as there is more mining support and infrastructure behind it. Bitcoin currently has around 10x more full nodes than Bitcoin Cash, and thus a much more distributed network. But the tradeoff is time: when the Bitcoin network is saturated, transactions tend to take longer than Bitcoin Cash transactions to be confirmed, and have much higher fees.

Bitcoin is 1 mb block, Bitcoin Cach is now 32 mb block. But nevertheless, Bitcoin has a new technology called Lightning Network. Thanks to her Bitcoin is in no way inferior to Bitcoin Cash. Transactions have become fast and inexpensive.

Bitcoin is a better coin than bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash is just a cheap knock off that is just preying off the success of bitcoin. I don't see any reason why people would want to compare bitcoin cash to bitcoin. there is no way that bitcoin cash will ever be better than bitcoin regardless of the 32mb block that bitcoin cash is boasting of. It won't change the fact that it is still a cheap knockoff

Roger Ver made a great buzz speculating on the theme of Bitcoin Cash that will conquer Bitcoin. But I don’t think that it will happen at least in near future. Technologically BCH is more advanced but this is not all we need to know.

Bitcoin Cash uses a different hash algorithm to the one Bitcoin uses. So, the replay between the two chains is no longer possible. Furthermore, a new algorithm which ensures normal chain work in case of dramatic changes of the number of miners provides additional stability to the currency as a whole.

Bitcoincash is the replica of bitcoin and it is not originated by satoshi.  Bitcoin will still be the best coin compare to Btc cash. Btc cash is less secure and not a good coin to invest in longterm. That is only for my opinion.

BitcoinCash is the first replica of Bitcoin. Therefore, it is a different coin, which came from Bitcoin. It has its own policy and users. Don`t misjudge it as the same thing, because prices for both of them are different and you can easily get scammed if you don`t know this.

Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are not the same cryptocurrency. The main advantage of Bitcoin Cash is "fast" transactions. The block size is increased to 8MB. Because of this, the commission remains at the early levels of development of cryptocurrency - up to $0.1. Another advantage is a very strong team, which, among other things, is responsible for the main bit-customers.

It is provided with both high transaction speed and reliable protection, so it should be at the same level with classic bitcoin after a while. But no one can predict how long this will take.

Bitcoin cash is 99% Bitcoin code. The only difference is that Bitcoin cash has increased its block size and there is nothing more that it does that Bitcoin doesn't. But Bitcoin has lightning Network, Segwit and many other developments which Bitcoin cash doesn't have. In short Bitcoin is far superior than Bitcoin cash.
