What stops you from getting a refund from Coincraft after collecting from us?

How do you plan on collecting fund to pay for the required electricity?  What are your electricity costs?  We need more information in order to judge your ability to run a group buy, my past experiences, have taught me that just because you can does not mean somebody should run a group buy.

If I may jump in here. I was looking to get into my first GB and I narrowed it down to this one and DZ's R21-R22 . Besides DZ having lots of favorable feedback here, I also took into consideration that in the OP of this thread it states that you should send your payment from the address that you want to receive your payouts. With that being said, many of the address's ( at least in the OP ) have no transactions according to blockchain.info . Am I missing something here ? Like I said, I am new to the whole co-op experience and am not looking to fan the flames. My only intention is to better understand this whole co-op process.

It's just a matter of convenience to have a dedicated wallet for each payment source: easier to control inflows.

Coincraft Desk 1 Th/s in Turbo mode can do 1.5 Th/s. I think he recently start to sell part of his "reserved" 500 Mh/s.
So, I think he initially plan to sell 1000 Gh/s for this GB to repay the miner; later, he also decided to sell other shares (of the Turbo mode).
Then I think the Conicraft Miner will run to 1.5 Th/s but he didn't say nothing about.

If you sell all the shares and don't take a share of the BTC for yourself, then it's hard to see the motivation for you to keep the machine running very long.

There are 3 ways to go about this, speaking as a person that would love for this GB to be a real thing that is successful.

1) Announce that you oversold by 298 shares, and refund anyone that did not make the official 1000 share cutoff, either now or after hashing has started if you have already spent the funds, by my count that is everyone who sent BTC after the 4th, plus 15 shares from ryaner84 who bought on the 4th. (full disclosure: that would refund me as well)

Or

2) Announce that you oversold by 298 shares and are soliciting volunteers who would like the refund, either now or after hashing starts.
(Thus giving me a chance to stay in the game)

or

3) Change the terms of the Group Buy to give yourself a management fee of some percent, in addition to keeping the 202 shares so the GB stays somewhat profitable for you.

I am pretty certain that no one will move to buy the remaining 202 shares, because no one will trust a stranger on the Internet to operate a miner with no chance of profit for themselves.
Either take the steps necessary to save the GB or announce that there was no miner from the get go and you are very pleased with all the BTC that was sent to you. :/

EDIT: Alternative 1 should not be an offer of a refund, rather a summary refund whether the share buyer wants it or not.

4) No refound, my profit is 500ghs, of mining or selling them its my choice. I'm making about 3000$ of earn selling my 500ghs.
Electricity will be around 150$/month, about 6 month about 1000$, so 2000$ of earn for me.

There will be no direct profit for you keeping the miner up and running. It will only cost you money in the form of the electricity bill.
Why don't you keep the remaining shares at least until the pont of the first divend payment to show us you are legit.

The problem with this plan is that there is no way to make sure who ever buys those last 200 shares won't just make off the machine for his own benefit. 1.4 BTC would bee seen as a pretty nice deal for a TH miner.

This guy is fantastic...I hope that nobody will buy last 200 shares (BTC difficulty is rising...mining must start as soon as we can and all other shipping time are only time wasted).
The GB is his and he should handle it as "agreements". With $5000+ of net profit I think this will not a problem.

I would get behind a DZMC hookup, but the fastest route to hashing is still for minewithmind to keep the unit.

minewithmind: the reason we want you to keep the shares is that you will have motivation to keep the miner running until it is not profitable anymore. This way, your profits will be connected to ours, thus we will all be in it together.

t's not that there are reasons not to trust that you will keep it running for months without seeing any new profit, not to trust you specifically, it's more a general rule, seeing as we are people on the internet, i.e people we do not know personally.

How on earth could we establish that this miner order even exists?

I run my equipment in a temperature controlled server room and would be willing to work with another member to house/split the remaining shares AND keep everyone in the GB that wishes to stay but there is just no way I am going to part with another cent under the current circumstances.

Does anyone know if there is any way to reliably confirm with the vendor that this order exists and have the buyer/delivery information changed?

Okay, so minewithmind has to accept delivery of this thing, either to run it himself or prepare a shipment to our hosting location of choice.

CONS: Possible delay in hashing

PROS: Easier to verify whether there is a real miner or not, by way of photos and copies of the shipping papers etc.

Proposal:
We put together a pledgelist to buy the last shares, if we get satisfactory proof that the miner exists and will be shipped.
Maybe some of the Italians or Italian speakers could approach minewithmind about some form of identity verification for added security.

If we are satisfied we send the funds, then contact the established co-ops again, this time with a concrete hosting request.

Hopefully we could piece this all together before to much time passes.

We need minewithmind to email them to change anything. Bitmine has to send it to the where the person who paid wants. They have no idea about this group buy and don't have any obligation to it. Since minewithmind paid and their obligation is to him, the only way that they will change the order is through him. minewithmind needs to email them say something like:

"I am not selling my preorder, I simply want to use DZ as a hosting service. Please change the shipping address to {insert DZ address here}."

Since minewithmind is technically not selling a preorder we should be good. Before he sends that though we would need minewithmind to give concrete proof that that the order is legit with enough evidence that we can get DZ or another host on board. Once the new host plan is set in stone, then and only then we need the above email to bitmine. Since I doubt they will change the address twice(let alone once), we would need to have our shit together before we get them involved.

What I wrote above seems like a long shot with our short time-frame but it would be the fastest way to get hashing. I agree with madao that a more realistic way to go about this would be to have it sent to minewithmind and then as a group cover the cost to ship it to the end host. Either way we are basically at the mercy of minewithmind and what level of effort he is willing to put forth.

I'm quite surprised how much people can trust into someone with no history, no real name, not even good reputation on the forum.

We probably should've known that this would very likely be a scam, however with such low cost per share it's a good opportunity for a lot of us w/o the means to put out for a large number of these buys. I probably won't get the 5 shares i put in back, but it's a good lesson, if someone is acting sketchy about any information, they're probably scamming you.

Not sure about Italy, but in some countries - this sort of thing might be considered Wire Fraud.  We absolutely need whatever personal information is available on MWM to be shared, and I will certainly be filing a report with our Feds.  It takes a paper trail to stop a scammer.  

For sure I would report to the carabinieri. Maybe to the finance police as well. Italy is kind of weird for that where they don't like small silly crime but don't mind the big obvious.

Have you confirmed with Bitmine they will give you 10% more? It might be more prudent to get it confirmed and in your hands before selling shares.
Moreover those extra 10% are a form of compensation for the delay and as such those who paid for the miner should be entitled to get that 10%. Compensation seems to be going back to you when you have already been reimbursed your expenses and more.

I am a 40+ yr old married man with children and a regular job in IT.  I have access to rack space in a temperature controlled server room and I do not pay for electricity.  I am willing to purchase the remaining shares in this GB and house the miner.  All remaining participants who wish to stay will be paid their fair share as soon as the miner goes online.

I don't mind iglasses taking over the control of the machine but I don't agree about the 10% shares at all. From an accounting point of view it does not make sense for them to go to minewithmind. Who paid for the miner? Us as a GB. Minewithmind made the initial purchase but has recouped all his money since we paid for shares. Who is ultimately waiting for the miner to fulfill its purpose? Us again, we want to mine bitcoin, minewithmind simply wants to pass it over or plug it in at least to keep his word. Minewithmind is not getting penalised by delays, difficulty going up, more people... We are though.
As long as the miner exists, is delivered and starts mining soon then it's fine but the rest feels like you are condoning the milking of shares unjustifiably.

So first of all thank you for your efforts.

That been said there are some issues that should be clarified:

1. you stated before that you would rather give the miner away to someone else to mine & distribute shares,
so why are you taking on yourself another miner?

2. Do you have space for two miner?

3. will you be able to handle that many payouts by yourself?

As you had troubles keeping records of the shareholder,
I would suggest getting help from another user and have them update & post the shares.
this will keep ppl more at ease

Just contacted my lawyer (my uncle!) in case of scam. I've nothing to lose. My uncle is free! We can do something with collected info. Italy is a fun place; scammers can be very able, but combination of lawyers+justice can be very powerful!

with the BITMINE customer protection program We (minewithmind and GB)  should get 200 + ghs (at worst) or + 200 + 200 ghs (at best), and then 7 modules for a total potential of 256 x 7 = 1792 ghs .... Correct me if I'm wrong some calculations ....

Not understanding this. OP is missing again.

For this group buy, any such calculations are meaningless, as OP just sells off the extra GH/s, leaving original shareholders with nothing.

Since you posted a screenshot of your order when you started this group buy, could you please update us with a screenshot of your order's status now, for sure it must be updated and no longer in "processing"  status.

Stop harrassing him. It's easy to confirm that Bitmine isn't actually shipping its normal orders yet. So you're all pretending he's cheating, while at the same time you simple can't say that yet.

IMO its the same crap as always, better deals being offered and wanting out. I'll tell you right now, that better deal will be late too, same crap everywhere.

Give him a rest, once Bitmine actually delivered its batch 1 orders and it's not confirmed here, then you got reason for crying out here. You are right that there is no such thing as a good deal, but the issue here for me is that those 200gh/s got sold to new participants, rather than being divied up between existing shareholders. Those extra gh/s where to compensate for difficulty rises, not to pay for mwm's cointerra rig.
And let's not even get into the issue of whether turbo will provide the extra 500gh/s or not, whether the shares where sold or not.

So even if this turns out to be legit, there will be an icky aftertaste from this GB..

Madao nailed it, even if the miner exists, the value dilution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_dilution#Value_dilution) is ridiculous for the original 1000 shares. This fundamentally changed the original investment proposal. Each time minewithmind sold more and more shares he screwed over everyone who had originally bought shares by making each share a smaller percentage of the total miner. Regardless of the miner shipping late, minewithmind had no right to issue more shares when he did because at that point he was no longer the majority owner of the miner.

When a real company dilutes shares, they are required to compensate original shareholders to make up for the loss in percentage ownership. This is done via a stock split, the issuing of B-level shares to new buyers or a dividend payout of the difference. Minewithmind did none of the above and instead devalued everyone's shares while pocketing the profit. Once the initial shares sold, MWM was no longer the sole owner of the miner and instead owned only about 200 shares or 1/5 of the miner. He then decided to sell these 200 shares so that he could start another group buy and keep shares in that one instead. When minewithmind sold these final shares in the group buy, he lost all power to vote. What happens next is the crazy part. After he had already sold all of his own shares, minewithmind decided to issue more shares of the miner that he no longer owned any part of and keep 100% of the revenue.

Thus he devalued everyone shares while making tons of profit selling shares in something he did not own anymore. The money raised by the new shares should have been distributed proportionally to the current owners of shares. Minewithmind owned no shares and thus 100% of the money should have been dispersed. This is tried and true fraud at a basic level.

Edit: Same scheme: one owner (posting screenshot) offering a bought miner. And now, supported by two "new users"; one of each is selling a CoinCraft (maybe OUR) for 15 BTC (with suspicious photos) and buying 4 shares in his GB.

I think that's optimistic, sir.  0GHz divided by 1729 shares seems most likely.
