Title: Need some advice for mining alternative crypto and getting set up on litecoin... Post by: AGNJoe on December 12, 2013, 05:53:09 AM Ok so here's the lowdown.
I've got a Nvidia card, a GTX580 overclocked to 1.5 ghz. Stop right there, yes I know ATI is better, but I'm making due with what I've got. I started thinking bitcoins would make me money, but now I see I'm barely making approx. 0.06 to 0.07 cents a day in USD to mine daily. Which is a joke when you have an Nvidia card. So people have told me of alternative crypto-coin mining, like litecoins. I've set up GUI-miner scrypt. I have a litecoin wallet setup. What I don't have is how to get it set up, what pools to use for lite coins, and I've checked the Gui threads for how to get it set up on an Nvidia card and there is little to no info that I've found to show you step by step how to get set up. If some kind soul would give me a rundown on where to go, how to do it, and to get set up with GUI-Miner scrypt, man I would greatly appreciate it. Any help? PLEASE??? And please understand, I'm still jr. n00bish member here so I'm just getting started here and could use all of the help I could get. Baby talk me through it if you have to. My thanks in advance. :) |
