Title: HALP! Problem with Guiminer :( :( Post by: sitefive on December 12, 2013, 05:48:41 PM Bought today a videocard,3hours later finally managed to start mining.
I have 5850 card and mining with GUIminer,however Im not sure whats happening. When I first launch the Guiminer(the accepted shares flow in like crazy super fast about 50shares/30seconds or like that but after a minute the shares accepted as displayed in guiminer start to flow in reallllly slowly like 2shares max per 30seconds. as I press Stop button and then again Start the accepted shares start flowing in a bit faster until 20seconds later they again stale and I get max 2shares per 30seconds. Post by: MineNerd on December 12, 2013, 05:54:45 PM I'd highly recommend familiarizing yourself with how to use cgminer. It will give you a lot more information than what GUIminer does. It could be the pool is vardiff and is changing the difficulty on the shares that you send to the pool, or it could be hardware errors, card getting too hot, etc. With cgminer you can monitor all of this.
