Title: MSI 970A-G46 - How many supported GPU's? Post by: andeekaii on December 12, 2013, 10:48:01 PM As per topic title, I am trying to find out how many GPU's (7950) the MSI 970A-G46 motherboard can support.
It has 2x (16x PCI-e) and 2x (1x PCI-e) slots but can these all be populated (using 1x to 16x powered risers)? Thanks. Title: Re: MSI 970A-G46 - How many supported GPU's? Post by: SkyNet on December 12, 2013, 11:42:57 PM There is no need to use powered risers if you have up to 3 cards. If you use 4 make sure at least one is powered.
Also I recommend 16x to 16x risers for the 2 16x PCI-e slots and of course 1x to 16x for the 1x PCI-e slots. 4 cards is the limit |
