Post by: xianglo on May 10, 2018, 12:39:50 AM
What exactly is a signature? And how is it done for bounty?

I found a thread which should answer your question using google so you should also do the same next time (Your_Question + site:bitcointalk.org)

Here it is: What is a signature and how it works [ Explained ] (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2006940.0)

Potato Chips has linked an excellent thread for explaining what a Signature is and how they work...

As for how you can do it as a "bounty"... you need to find a Signature Campaign (List of BTC campaigns here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0) and List of Altcoin Campaigns here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0)) and (assuming you meet the minimum requirements of the campaign) apply to join... If you are accepted, you add the campaigns signature into your profile.

Note that most signature campaigns require a relatively high rank these days (Member or above)... although there are one or two that hire Jr. Members (mostly Altcoin/ICO campaigns).

You should be aware that simply posting rubbish to meet minimum post requirements is considered "shitposting" and will likely negatively affect your ability to join better campaigns in the future (as a lot of managers check your post history) and it could even earn you "negative trust" which will prevent you from joining a lot of campaigns (most campaigns won't accept applications from people with negative trust).

It spreads the word. I did my research and I have a decent grasp on what they are now

Two more scroungers coming to Bitcoin Talk to rip us off when they are too lazy to use Google.

Do us all a favour, and read the stickies and all the threads about bounty scammers before you start crapping on the boards

If you want to follow bounty campaign signature at least the rank you must jr member. The greater the rank you have the greater the token you will get.

Signature is a campaign which requires you to post or reply in someone post here in bitcointalk. It is also just like social media campaign (facebook, twitter) but the difference is that you can get a lot more money here in signature because only few person participate here.

So its a bit of code you add to all your posts here in the forum. OK

Signature is a good opportunity to promote your website without any effort. You can add your website or affiliate link to the signature line of your forums. it is very helpful in increasing traffic for your website and back links.

Do most of the signatures include pics? Does multiple signatures in our posts conflict with forum policy?

What is a signature campaign?
Signature campaigns are when your posts on bitcointalk all have a sponsored signature, and you typically get paid by the sponsor for every post you make on the forum.

The best thread on signature campaigns is the following updated thread, which lists all the campaigns and their criteria for joining:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

You can easily make a bit of coin doing simple forum posting - for example a full member can earn 0.0003 btc per post, which is nice pocket change especially if you were going to post anyway.

However, as you can see, there arn't many opportunities for new accounts - all the most lucrative campaigns are for senior accounts. But how do you get to be a senior or hero member? It's not as simple as posting a lot - bitcointalk has a complicated activity formula to prevent people spamming their way up the ranks.

Here is how the Forum Ranks on Bitcointalk work
The throttle on how quickly members progressed up the ranks was introduced in 2013 in the following thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

First of all, here are the ranks:

You move up the ranks based on Activity which is defined as

"Activity = min(time * 14, posts)" and "Maximum of 14 activity every 2 weeks."

With time defined as

"time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration".

In other words your activity level increases by 14 every two weeks, as long as you have made 14 posts in that two week period. If you have made less than 14 posts, it will increase by the number of posts, and if you have made more than 14 posts, it will increase just by 14 in the two week period.

It should take just over four weeks to graduate from newbie to jr member, another four weeks to make member, and another eight weeks on top of that to make Full Member. As you can see it is a slow process.

I'm a newbie too, just find this article on Steemit. hope that can help.

As you can see it is a slow process.
Likely to be even slower since the introduction of "merit" at the end of January.

It is no longer just a matter of "time" and "activity" to rank up... You need to also accumulate minimum amounts of merit, which the large proportion of these "how join bounty?" users are unlikely to ever achieve. ::)
